"It's the largest database ever assembled in the world"
For a few months now, the blogs have been talking about how AT&T had given American's phone records to the NSA, but for some reason the 'liberal media' didn't pick up on it until today.....and now Americans are finally outraged about it! What is bothering most liberals and democrats today is the SIZE and the AMOUNT of personal phone records and information that AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and Bellsouth gave them! It appears to be close to 200 million Americans have been affected (which would include Bush supporters too) and if you know how many Americans are currently living in America, well, you know that your info is now sitting in the 'largest database ever assembled in the world'. A poster on Americablog brought up a really good point today about all of this. He or she said that the government is taking our phone calls, putting it in their database, and then as more calls are added to each person's little section of the database, eventually, the government can make an 'intention assessment' of what you are doing. In other words, if you constantly call the Arab restuarant in your town to order takeout and the government sees a pattern, well, they can assume from their data (wrongly so of course) that you are indeed doing something sinister (even though you know you are just ordering food)! Or if you are one who calls your local bakery to order 'yellow cake' a lot because it's your favorite type of cake, then well, the government can 'safely assume' that you are in the process of creating a nuclear bomb. I don't trust the government right now and don't like the idea of them recording or snooping on our personal phone calls, but what bothers me the most is the we have paranoid people working in and for the White House and they are the ones who will be interpreting what we are saying and that scares me to no end!!!!!!!! Can we trust them? No. I feel like laying down on the ground and crying while watching the clouds slowly go across the sky. I do because I don't recognize my country right now and it hurts. It hurts bad. Some are referring to the White House now as the Kremlin. Some are saying that the markets are crashing. Some are saying we've been a dictatorship for awhile now. Some are saying the Bush Warpigs are planning another attack on our country and on Iran. Some are tired. I am tired. The one person who could fix all of this and make it go away is the most corrupt president our country has ever witnessed. He and his Warpigs are doing exactly what they planned to do back in the 1990's through the right-wing think tank called the Project for the New American Century. They hate America and our values and they are working feverously to destroy it. They have made our nation into the very Evil nations that they say they want to rid the Earth of. I despise and hate them all. What I don't understand is why isn't the NSA or our other Intelligence agencies not contacting overseas telephone companies to spy on the terrorists there? Why? With the knowledge that 200 million Americans have been wiretapped or spied on by the Feds, are we to now say that there are 200 million terrorists calling our country right now? Well, if you heard Bush today, that is what he was implying. If that's the case, then where are the arrests of these people? Where are they? I'll tell you where they are.....they're no where. Bush and his Warpigs came into the White House in January 2001 and that is when they started spying on Americans. Which Americans? Liberals and democrats, that's who. We are the enemy to these paranoid lunatics. They're not spying on anyone in this country to protect us. They're spying on us and lying about what they're doing because they know what they are doing is illegal. Even Attorney General John Ashcroft back in early 2001 refused to allow Bush and his Warpigs to do this type of spying, and that's going some, because Ashcroft is a complete whacko! Ashcroft knew what Bush and the rest wanted to do was not within the confounds of the Constitution or any other law on the books. So, Ashcroft is gone and now we have Gonzales....a real crony. Gonzales is the Brownshirt who is allowing Bush to ignore all laws of our country right now!!! Please, make it stop! General Michael Hayden has been nominated by Bush as Director of the CIA and all of this information doesn't look good for him that's for sure. Why? Well, for starters, he was the one that told the country that the Intelligence community had heard the words on September 10, 2001, "Tomorrow is zero hour" by one of the hijackers (who they were tracking by the way!!!!), and no one interpreted it until September 12, 2001! 9/11/01 happened anyways, so my point is, it doesn't matter what they are hearing while they are spying on all of us, because in the end, they won't REALLY know the intention of the people talking and can't be trusted to make the distinction either or can't be trusted TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE INFORMATION THEY ARE HEARING! So, because I'm a liberal, I don't like the idea of giving up any of my rights (even in a time of war), especially when we have paranoid lunatics running the country. I refuse to bend on this issue either. I would rather die than live in a dictatorship....and by the looks of it.....we are living in one. Like I said above, there is one person who could change all of this but he is the same guy who said that God told him to attack Iraq and kill the people there. He's a lunatic and I will never ever ever give up one right for him....ever. In fact, I wouldn't give up my rights for anybody...I don't care who it is. What are our soldiers fighting for in Iraq? Our freedom. Bush has lied to our soldiers too, because while they're over there fighting, dying, getting maimed, or coming home paralyzed, their Commander in Chief is saying that our Constitution "is only a God damn piece of paper" and is giving the finger to the Bill of Rights. I feel sorry for our soldiers and their families. I know that some of them feel the way I do because I've heard from them online. If there truly is a God, let's hope God is on the side of the American people and gets rid of the fungus who inhabit the People's House in Washington DC. They've done enough to our country. It's time for them to be gone and be done with it. Americans are hurting and the Bush Warpigs are the cause of it!
