Truthout.org is standing behind their Rove Indictment story

Good for them!

Truthout.org reported this past weekend that Patrick Fitzgerald met with Rove's attorney for a good part of Friday, May 12th. Truthout.org said that their sources were telling them that Rove will face indictments and then released another piece hours later indicating that Rove was actually indicted on Friday, May 12th. The left wing blogs spent some time talking about it (most of us were hopeful that Truthout was correct! After 2 years of waiting for Rove to be held accountable for his role in the outing of Valerie Plame's identity, it was good to hear!) and the right wing blogs spent some time disputing the claim of the left wing blogs. Most of us who have spent years tuning into Truthout.org and know that this site is almost always dead-on right. They are well connected to insiders in Washington. Yes, from time to time they do give Cindy Sheehan space to post her thoughts, but mostly, they are concerned about the direction of the country and have wonderful journalists that keep us all well-informed.

Well...Truthout never took their original stories about Rove down and the mainstream media were scratching their heads about it (meaning...they were more inclined to believe the right wing blogs in that the story was false). It turns out that Truthout did receive insider infomation and Rove will be indicted at some point, though, the public may not be informed of it right off. Patrick Fitzgerald can keep any indictment secret if an indictment might come in conflict with the current court case. My hope is that Fitzgerald holds a press conference next week (or tomorrow!) to let the American people know that this Administration is finally being held accountable. Thankya Jeesuhs!
