Blackwater Security! American death squads?
Well, with the criminal John Negroponte back in our government under the current Bush, it's no wonder that Blackwater Security (interesting name since 'blackwater' usually is a nickname for oil) exists (he may not be connected to it but Bush did give him presidential authority to tell businesses in Iraq and Afghanistan they don't have to keep records of anything they do!)! This company along with a few others is training mercenaries to provide security SEPARATE from our military in Iraq and Afghanistan. Isn't this what Bush and his thugs have always wanted? Fighting wars independent of our government? Privatizing wars because it is profittable? All I'm going to say is if these mercenaries start raping and murdering nuns like John Negroponte had his death squads doing in South America under Reagan/Bush Sr., I'm going to scream! See, it is this type of thing that is fueling the hatred against our country. Many Americans were surprised when 9/11 happened because they were under the mindset that we are good people. Well, we are good people but it is the leaders of our country (along with businesses like Blackwater Security etc.) who have done things to others across the planet that they know about but we do not. It's called propaganda. We never get the truth, though we've always felt we have. Our CIA is so secret with their missions that we don't know where they are until a leader of a country is assassinated or something like that! We see the outcome but we're never told the truth of who was behind the scenes. Our current media is doing the same thing...they never look for the story behind the story. Well, Blackwater Security should be scrutinized by our media. We want to know what these paid right wing militants are doing in our name for God's sake!

Crooks & Liars recently posted a year old video showing civilian contractors "randomly" shooting at Iraqis on the highway - the reason it was posted was because these people were not charged with anything.
Of course Blackwater is literally "lawless" since they fall under NO jurisdiction. Another shameful operation in the name of the US. It will take us decades to regain our reputation - if that is even possible.

I know. I think that is where my outrage is coming from....all of this crap is being done in our name and is only fueling the fire of hatred against us! It sickens me that throughout my life I looked at other countries with such shame because of the way they treated their citizens and because of the atrocities of the leaders, but now I'm finding I'm doing it with my own country! So here we are knowing that the right wing death squads are back. Makes me sick to my stomach.
