Is the government listening to us via satellite technology?
A few months ago on AMERICAblog, one of the contributors posted a picture of an AT&T envelope which had the words on the front that stated this:
"We finally did something you probably never thought the phone company would do. We listened."Well, we all know now that AT&T was helping the government listen in to our phone calls, so these words have an interesting and ambiguous meaning, but that is what advertising does. It uses words and phrases hoping that the person reading or watching will take the meaning to be the most logical and the least hurtful. In the case of the AT&T envelope, the above use of words was intended to mean that AT&T never listens to their customers but they finally did. Well, for those of us who don't trust AT&T now, we took the words to mean that AT&T was in effect telling it's customers in a nonchalant way that they TRULY have been listening to us, but in an illegal way! This brings me to my point of this post. A week or so ago, I received a mailing from DirecTV. I've been a customer for at least two years now. On the outside of the envelope were the words: "We heard you!" and then the sentence below it explained how they have changed the look of their bills. Uh huh. Well, here's an interesting point: Russell Tice, who is an NSA whistleblower and who has for months now tried to get our government TO LISTEN TO HIM about what OTHER SURVIELLANCE ACTIVITIES our government is participating in. He hasn't actually said what it is....but he has hinted in not so many words that our government is listening to us through SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY! Oh boy. Is it possible that the government is able to listen to us through our satellite cable boxes and that is what DirecTV was saying to it's customers on the outside of their mailing envelope? Or is our government listening to our personal conversations inside our cars that are equiped with On Star or other GPS tracking systems? I don't know, but I'm wondering aloud again!! What a creepy time we are living in and it is no surprise to me that corrupt men (and a few women) are running the whole government and this kind of crap is happening! Good grief.
