He acknowledge that the totals up to that time - spread over 3 years, was around 30,000...and that means not all were killed by the US. In fact since 2004 by far the majority of civilian deaths have been caused by TERRORISTS/INSURGENTS (difference being, terrorists are NON-IRAQIS, whereas "insurgents" are former IRAQI Baathists and criminals).

The actual quote is "How many Iraqi citizens have died in this war? I would say 30,000, more or less, have died as a result of the initial incursion and the ongoing violence against Iraqis."

WHAT PART OF "AND" don't you understand? If he had said "30,000 were killed ONLY IN THE INITIAL INCURSION" that'd be one thing, but he qualified it with "AND" the ongoing violence.

You can still hate the man, but be honest enough to quote him correctly.

If you actually read the details from anti-war you'll notice that by far most civilians die at the hands of foreign or domestic Iraqi terrorists NOT US soldiers or US bombs. It's the terrorists and insurgents that are targetting civilians and keeping the pot boiling, not US troops.

As for the Mass graves - The UN and State department have photos and evidence of the mass graves throughout Iraq. All the dead were put there by SADDAM and sons - not by the USA or Bush.

You can say, "Only 30,000" or you can say, "Only 3000", or you can say, "Only 120,000"....because it doesn't matter. Seems kind of silly that Bush would illegally invade and occupy Iraq to put Saddam on trial for 143 killings (there's really little evidence that proves that Saddam did these killings either...it looks like Saddam's men went beserk and killed them....US soldiers have done the same thing in recent weeks too!), huh?
