I hope the republican plan for Connecticut backfires on them
The republicans are now backing Joe Lieberman on the Independent ticket for November and are not backing the actual republican candidate for that race. I find that very interesting. It makes you wonder if the people of Connecticut are smart enough to realize that a vote for Joe Lieberman will be a vote for the republican party. Of course, we did witness the great people of Connecticut vote in Ned Lamont the liberal candidate to be on the ticket in November as the democratic candidate. So, it's promising to me that the citizens of the state will understand what the republicans are doing and it is my hope that the republican plan backfires! Ned Lamont needs to drive home the point to the voters that voting for Joe is a vote for the GOP. And what does GOP stand for? Got Our Problems. Got Our Petroleum. Got Our People (confused). Got Our Patsy. Got Our Prayers (and nothing else to run on). Let's hope Connecticut votes the reality of the situation and votes in Lamont in November to represent their state. He will represent them well and he already is.

The very fact that the Republicans are shoving their own candidate into the gutter, to help Bush's dance partner Lieberman is telling.
First it is telling that Bush has no loyality to anyone but himself and his bedpartners Rove and Condi.
Lieberman is nothing but a Bush plant, who forgot where he came from, and who put him there.
Lieberman deserves Bush. But America deserves neither.

That's right Larry...Lieberman & Bush deserve each other and let's hope they both go down together, holding hands, and singing songs to each other while the nation kicks their asses to the curb!
Isn't it amazing that according to Republicans, every Democrat is anti-American, weak on terrorism, tax raising, abortion loving, danger to America, EXCEPT JOE LIEBERMAN?
Why are all the so-called conservatives so concerned that Democratic voters threw Lieberman out in the primary.
Tells you something about Lieberman doesn't it?

It does Larry and what I think is also republican spew is that they say liberals hate Jews because of our dislike for Joe Lieberman, but yet, most of us love Russ Feingold!!! Again, we prove the republicans/neocons to be ding dongs.
Lieberman is officially a republican and he should drop the 'I' and instead use an 'R' when running this November!!!!

Kay the repugs putting Loserman in play they way they have done does two things for them.
1) it is an attempt for them to get the best out of a bad situation, and hopefully after the election if the question of who controls the senate rests on Losermans choice of who to back, the repugs could try to woo him to work with them as they can claim to be the party that backed Loserman.
2) There are 3 congressional repug seats in play in the state, and by backing Loserman, the repugs hope to energise their base in those districts and save those seats.
The dems need 15 seats to retake the house and If they do, John Conyers will assume the chairmanship of the same committee that impeached Clinton. Conyers BTW had published a document that accuses Bush ET AL of 26 violations of US law, and thus the repugs fear him and the Dems control of that committee.
The repugs deeply need to maintain control over the budget process to keep giving the taxpayers money to their benefactors by continuing to privatise the federal government.
They also need to control committee when reforming Social security comes up to BLOCK any dissent to their plan and block any plan the dems come up with.
Losing the House destroyes most of the repugs power in tearing apart the federal government to enrich themselves and their benefactors who find them.
