Iraq's Maliki has had it with the US military...

Oh boy. The anger level in the Iraqi government is escalating. They're angry with our military, who are being commanded to attack the Shiites, because this new government is TRYING to create an atmosphere within their own country that will help to unify the sects. Well, they're unifying alright because they're unifying against us!
We've seen the protests where the Iraqis, who are standing up for Hezbollah against Israel, are chanting "Death to America" like it's just another day, but what is not helping this whole situation is our forces targeting ANY GROUP within this country! What are we thinking?
We need to get our asses out of that country fast. Our mere presence is fueling the hatred against us and our Armed Forces are not helping this rage by targeting one particular sect of the country! We cannot take sides in this civil war. We must leave...now.

Comments:
I AM NOT LEAVING UNTIL I GET ALL OF THERE OIL AND DICKIE GETS HIS CUT OF THE ACTION FROM HALLIBURTON !!! YOU GOT THAT !!!

We should have left yesterday.

Exactly Bill! Bush's corporate whores don't want to leave because of all the money at their ankles...and that's the fact Jack!

We never should have gone in Hill, but now that we're there in the middle of a civil war, it's time to leave.......and fast.

Kay with the news that Malaki is at odds with the militias in Basara, (both the militias and Maliki are Shites,) a very real civil war could break out betewwn those who kneel to the US in Baghdad, and those who have little use for them and the US in Basara. with the US troops left holding the bad choice of going into Basara(like they are going into Baghdad today...to Fight internal militias made up of Iraqi sectarian factions. In the southern Iraqi city of Basara, a real civil war between the forces of BAGHDAD and local militias, may become a reality soon...which would severly undercut Buish's claim that they stood up a democracy in Iraq if the locals fight against the US approved government;

Meanwhile, a constitutional crisis. Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki had announced that he was stripping the provincial governing council of Basra of its security portfolio. Security is collapsing in the southern port city, oil exports through which account for the only income the Iraqi government has. The governing council has declared that it will not relinquish the security portfolio.

The stage is set for a contest between the central government's armed forces, including the 10th Division of the army, and the Shiite militias that support the provincial government.

Another good blog to help you understand the action in the middle east from a military perspective, with no spin is here;

Wiki Pat Lang and you will see he has the background to understand what is going on...and why.
