Israel is insane
Of course, they're as insane as the Bush Regime, so quite frankly it's frightening the choices they make! Israel decided to cluster bomb southern Lebanon today and the experts are saying that the use of this kind of bombing within neighborhoods is against the law. But, because Israel is as insane as the Bush Regime and because neither feels any laws or sanctions apply to them...ever, well, Israel is saying that there were bad guys in those neighborhoods so that is why they had to use illegal bombs to kill them! The Regime says shit like that all the time and they say it without a shred of evidence too. Like I've been saying for the last year, Bush's doctarine to get the terrorists consists of:
DROPPING A BOMB ON A STADIUM PACKED FULL WITH 80,000 SPECTATORS, KILLING THEM ALL, AND HOPING THEY'VE KILLED THE ONE TERRORIST WHO WAS AMONGST THE CROWD!
That's it folks. Insanity, it is.
Another way that Israel & the Bush Regime are insane is that both look for opportunities to use these explosives, even though they know they're illegal. Dick Cheney & Don Rumsfeld for years have wanted to use our nukes, because in their mind they feel, what is the sense of having these powerful killers if they can't use them! They want a nuclear war and they want it in the Middle East. With Israel as insane as them, I think they'll get it.
I'm tired of it. The only people who will benefit from a nuclear war are those connected to the Bush Regime. The whole purpose of getting into Iraq was to start their agenda, which is to capture the oil to control the market, to use Iraq as the home base to launch their bombs out of, and to control the whole region (and because of the oil that is there....they'll control the world). Will you and I benefit from them doing any of this? Nope. Will Israel benefit? Nope, they're just pawns in the Regime's game. Shameful.
The white noise coming from these warmongers is insane and I'm sick of it.

Bitcruncher, do you think for a moment that people who practice Islam think the same thing of the Christians in America? Don't you think the guys running our country and who are part of the religion that has more members has done atrocities to the Muslims and that is why SOME want to harm us and Israel for what we've done to them?
I think it goes both ways and I agree there are times when Israel should indeed defend itself. I think Israel is being used as a pawn right now by our Christofascist White House. I don't think any of them give two licks of care towards Israel.
If you've ever had the "pleasure" of listening to right wing radio (I tune in now and then to hear what they're saying to get an idea of their mindset) and many are saying that all people in the Middle East need to die to cleanse the area. That is outrageous talk if you ask me, because there are many good Christians in our country and across the planet so should Muslims have the right to kill all of them???!!!
Bitcruncher, our world is getting crazy and between our leaders and the leaders in Israel, they're not making it better. Because of OUR power, we should be using it in a confident, non-violent way. Killing millions of people like the right wing radio hosts are suggesting is only going to make more enemies for us and for Israel and it needs to stop.
I have a person in my life who was a Christian for a good portion of his almost 50 years, but now, he's a Muslim. He's white too. I couldn't imagine him being gunned down because of his faith, but that is the world that Bush is creating here in our country. Planes are being diverted all over the place because of this fear of Muslims (especially the ones who have brown skin!). It's so sad to me.
I have a feeling you won't understand all of this because you're of the mindset that pease only exists through superior firepower. Here's a saying I grew up with from my very liberal mother:
"You get more with sugar than you do with salt".
Hating and killing each other isn't going to breed peace. Our neighbors are more than just next door...they're all over the planet! Respect, caring, and compassion goes a lot further in changing things (or people) for the better. Violence only begets violence. Remember that.

Israel is insane, Bitcruncher, because it has brought itself into the situation it is in. It is insane because it has kept all Arabs living inside it under martial law (until 1966) and then under secret police surveilance (as of 1966), leaving the army to deal with the Arabs of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Israel is insane because it thinks it can continue to get away with that (while calling itself a democracy). It cannot. You cannot shoot your way to a fair deal.
