And what, pray tell is the Left's solution to this? Nationalizing the "means of production" doesn't take companies out of the hands of a 'few fat cats' it enshrines companies in the hands of a few selected politically connected bureaucrats!

So you're afraid of "big business"? Where do they get their greatest contracts? that's right, from GOVERNMENT; LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL.

So if you REALLY WANTED to get rid of or reduce the power of big business....REDUCE THE SPENDING POWER OF GOVERNMENT!

But let's be honest, the Left isn't against "Big business" when it comes to certain industries - Abortion, contraception, phrama companies making AIDS drugs, the whole Educational establishment, the whole industrial complex surrounding government services to 'the poor'... you even gripe that FEMA isn't big enough to be the first - and ONLY - "responder".

Your answer to everything is "increase the size of government EXCEPT the military" and your reaction to poverty in general and big companies in particular is either to abort and sterilize poor people out of existence or decide from government fiat which company gets what contract, by 'nationalising' the company (i.e. stealing from one fat cat and giving it to another soon-to-be fat cat).

Your party is constantly demanding "government" tell people what to do - and constantly claiming that "only" government programs can 'solve' problems. Well my goodness, companies will get into whatever pays the bills - so the only way to get rid of hugely powerful companies is to stop spending tax-payer dollars on big ticket items.

Well let's see....the GOP runs 30 out of 50 state governments, and we won the last 3 elections - so I think it's pretty clear that more Americans vote Republican than they vote Democrat. Blue counties outnumber red ones and blue states outnumber red ones.

Secondly, I am NOT IN FAVOR OF BUSH'S BUDGETS. I'd cut them back, pay down the debt and rein in spending to a balanced budget - as would MOST CONSERVATIVES.

We think it's a crime to pay illegals less than minimum wage, and it's a crime that any adult needs to stay in a minimum wage job for life because their education and moral development was so stunted in Public school...Our plan is to make 'minimum wage' jobs only temporary, the first rung of the ladder.... not the end all and be all, as some democrats claim it is.

I know you don't realize this, but Bush isn't a "conservative". I highly doubt you know or have spoken with any "conservative". I highly doubt you've even read any book by a conservative (and reading the jacket cover or what DailyKos has to say doesn't count).

The only way to pay down the debt is to CUT federal spending...and the only way to rein in "big business" is to stop giving them huge federal contracts.

Your party simply has no other plan on the table except "hate bush" and "get rid of Bush".

Well, news to you, he'll be gone after 2008. What viable ALTERNATIVE will you put in place to save the country? You can't just keep running on "we hate bush and will get rid of him so vote for us"!

Fine, let's say we all vote Democrat in 2008. Then what? Will you cease TITLE X funding of Planned Parenthood (that's where it is in the fed. budget)? Will you push for a balanced budget and stop spending Social Security taxes on non-Social Security related things like pork?

No. Your party is on record for demanding MORE money to be spent across the bord on EVERYTHING from 'education' to "the environment" - and on the military (Kerry wants to add 80,000 more troops).
