Ann Richards has died.
Our Texas Rose is gone. What I loved most about Ann Richards was her political passion, her sarcasm & honesty, and her disdain for George W. Bush. She will be missed.

Ann Richards was one of the few politicans left in this country to actually call Bush what he really is.
Ann Richards was one of the last great "old broads," a term she used to describe herself. She infiltrated the good ole' boys network and made them take notice. BTW, she was dead-on accurate with a shotgun, could hunt with the best of them.
RIP
RIP
I miss Ann Richards already!!! I can't stand it!!!!!
One good thing yesterday...
Bush had to issue a statement giving his condolences to the Richard's family and had to say one nice thing about her!
Oh the Karma....

Ann Richards had more true Texan in her little finger than shrub could ever muster. Heaven just kicked it up a notch. Bless our Ann.
Yup, ole Ann had a real Texan accent, whereas, George "Wingnut/Torture" Bush uses a fake Texan accent whenever he wants to make a point. Other than that, Bush doesn't have an accent.
Ann Richards was a true democrat as far as I'm concerned. She had a fire in her belly, used her sarcasm to get her points across, and truly cared about her state and our nation.
She's already missed by those of us who treasured her.
