"Donald Rumsfeld is not a competent wartime leader"
Well, you don't say! Donald Rumsfeld isn't a good leader and has turned the Iraq war into a circus, while America's corporate whores continue to rob American's blind every day of every month since this war started? And Donald Rumsfeld has ignored the insurgency and the civil war that has ensued the illegal invasion and occupation of this sovereign nation who had nothing to do with 9/11 at all? Wow! Of course, this is not news to those who have also uttered the same questions of Rumseld for years. It doesn't take a brainsurgeon to figure out when a country is losing approximately 4,000 people in a month to bombings, torture, raping, and killing, that it's time to change the leadership of the military that started this whole mess in the first place! The Democrats, though they don't have subpeona power or the power to hold a hearing for it to be affective, did hold a hearing yesterday anyways and gave the retired Generals a chance to voice their opinion about Donald Rumsfeld and his quagmire entitled, "The Iraq War".
Here's what retired General Batiste had to say about Rummy:
Rumsfeld needs to be fired and kicked to the curb. He has been an absolute disaster in running this war. It's not fair that our soldiers have taken the blame for Iraq being out of control and it's not their fault that there hasn't been any leadership coming from the top. Rummy & Ding Dong in the White House say they have always listened to the Generals in the field. Poppycock! For if they had, Iraq would be a different situation than it is today.
Fire the bastards this November by electing the democrats to take control of the House and/or Senate to get the party started to hold these assholes accountable for their INACTIONS!!!

Right on Robert! And guess what? The Fascist Pigs have 'swift boated' a few of the Generals in the past. One was a female General and even John Batiste is now saying that he decided to leave his career (he was up for 3-Stars....huge, huge promotion for him) because he felt that it was either....lose everything he has worked for or leave with his respect still intact and then show his support for our soldiers by speaking out WHEN RUMMY & OTHERS COULDN'T SMEAR HIM!

Right you are Larry! We have to remember that Rummy & Cheney have had over a 30 year relationship and it started in the Nixon Admin. These two have always wanted to reduce the dependency on soldiers to fight wars, but instead because it's much more profitable, use high tech (including nuclear) weapons to fight them instead! Employing a few pilots to drop bombs on nations is much better they feel! Disgusting.
They're fighting a war on the cheap and it's our soldiers who are suffering. I'm sure it doesn't help their attitude when they're receiving $1200/month to risk their lives to protect American financial interests over there, while the guys at KBR and Halliburton are bringing home $100-200,000 a year tax free and doing the same gosh darn thing but with the US military protecting their asses! Morale is low and we know why.
I see a public hanging in our future......spit.

Kay, I despise Rummy. I have been trying for like hours & hours to post a comment, but Blogger's being a 'ho, so not having much luck.

Hi Hill & Pam! Thanks so much for coming on my blog today.
First, Blogger has sucked for the past couple of days. Hill, I've had trouble posting too. Also, Haloscan is taking forever to download over at Americablog, but other blogs I frequent that use it I'm not having trouble. Weird. Makes you wonder if Ablog is being watched or something. I don't know, but for some reason it takes FOREVER!!!! to refresh each page on the threads!! Pisses me off.
And? You both can use "spit" and "The End" as much as you want! I don't hold any rights to either and quite frankly if I did I would tell everyone to do it anyways! Kay, I have MORE Distain for Ronald McDumsfeld, than I even do have for either the Idiot or Dead Eye. the Secretary of Defense...IS SUPPOSED to PUT the defense of this country ahead of EVERYTHING else.

And McDumsfeld has put each of these ahead of the safety of the troops IN A COMBAT zone, which is DERELICTION OF DUTY, if not Criminal Negligence. (both good reasons for his leaving ASAP)

He undercuts Generals with decades of experience, because their MILITARY judgement demands they criticize the Moron Bush backs as Sec of Def, and His incompetent planning.
He refuses to LISTEN to advice from the very people he is supposed to rely on for advice.
The man was Gerald Fords Secretary of Defense, so HE thinks HE knows MORE THAN people who have been in the military full time since then, because he had the job for a couple of years NOT decades.
The mans Hubris is astounding, as bad as his ole buddy Dead eye's. They worked in the corrupt Nixon white house, and followed on with Ford.
Both hated the fact that Congress back then reigned in the illegalities with NEW laws.
As a former military officer...if anybody in MY command preformed as incompetently as Dumsfeld...I WOULD have relieved HIM. It would be the ONLY choice I could make FOR THE GOOD OF THE TROOPS...which after accomplishing the Mission...is the MOST important consideration a commander can have.
With the NIE revelations, combined with the boneheaded moves of Dumsfeld, HE is failing the Mission and troops. Either would be reason enough to show him the door, but their combination DEMANDS his summary dismissal.
To do otherwise would be an act of CRIMINAL NEGLECT of the military by the current commander in chief.

Right you are Mr. Clif!!! Our troops have not been cared for at all with Rummy at the helm. The man is a disgrace to our nation and to our soldiers who put their lives on the line every day for us.
