Speaking of ignoring the warnings...
...before September 11, 2001 as Clif's previous post noted was one of the indications that one is a republican, George "Wiretapping Americans since February 2001" Bush on 9/29/06 said that he ignored the warnings before this day! Bush was speaking to the Reserve Officers Association about his Global War on Terror strateeeegery and said this (27 paragraphs into the speech linked above):
"I've constantly told the American people we must defeat the enemy overseas, so we do not have to face them here at home. (Applause.) I will continue to remind the American people that you deal with threats before they materialize. In this war that we're in, it is too late to respond to a threat after the -- after we've been attacked. I'm not going to forget the lessons of September the 11th, 2001, and I know you won't either. We must take threats seriously now, in order to protect the American people."
I demand that he be tracked down (preferably handed over by his SS so no one gets hurt) and arrested for being the biggest accomplice to the most tragic day in the history of our nation, now that he's admitted to us that he truly wasn't taking the threat of terrorism seriously and allowed our nation to be hit!
