Martial Law in Iraq right now....
...but is the 'liberal media' here at home reporting it on our t.v.'s? Nope! They can't make their Fuhrer in the White House look bad, especially when he keeps touting every single day that Iraq is going wonderfully, to stay the course there, and to vote for the republican candidate in November!
Why has Martial Law been enforced in Iraq? Because the country, especially the center of it where American troops are located, is in a civil war and is in an absolute quagmire. The country is out of control, but yet, the repukes in the White House keep telling us the opposite. Iraqis are being kidnapped and tortured and thrown along roadsides. It's terrible what is happening over there. Of course, none of it would be happening if the Idiot Pig in the White House hadn't illegally invaded this sovereign country to pave the path for his corporate whores to rob our Treasury blind!!!
Here's just a taste of why Martial Law has been enforced in Iraq:

Police found 50 unidentified bullet-riddled bodies, some with signs of torture, scattered across the Iraqi capital on Sunday. Police believe the killings are the result of Sunni-Shiite sectarian violence. Meanwhile, there was no let-up in attacks across Iraq Sunday. At least six bombings wounded 25 people and killed four others.I'm disgusted. Staying the course is the worst possible plan for Iraq. We need new leadership in Washington, DC to be able to view Iraq with 'reality' glasses and not the rose colored glasses the Pigs in the White House have been viewing it with!
Saturday night, gunmen shot and killed a Shiite sheik who headed the local office of the Shahid al-Mihrab organization, which is funded by Iraq's leading Shiite political party, a police official told CNN. Sheik Numan al-Nassri was killed near his home in Diwaniya, a predominantly Shiite city about 110 miles (180 kilometers) south of Baghdad.
Two U.S. soldiers were killed Saturday by small arms fire in Iraq's volatile Anbar province, according to a military news release. The soldiers were assigned to the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary.)
The U.S. military also said Sunday that a U.S. soldier died from injuries suffered in a Humvee accident near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Saturday. The Task Force Lightning soldier was assigned to 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, based out of Fort Lewis, Washington, the military said.

The press has one mindset, which is to cover anything that can detract the public from what is really going on in this world.
Corporations who own the media, also own the Republican Party.
The only recourse to the truth is through blogs of progressive thinkers.
The only danger is Bush can now haul those bloggers to an unknown prison, and further silence the truth.

Yup, he can haul us bloggers away and anyone who protests against his criminal regime too!

WorldCan'tWait is holding a huge protest in Washington DC on October 5th!!! I wish I could go. Dammit.
There is too much BAD news coming out, so Iraq is getting the short shift.
Foleygate is drowning the repugs for NOW.
The leadership looks incompetent at best, and criminally negigent at worst. They seem to have tried to cover it up. This is just the thing the MSM loves, high ranking politico's caught red handed. the fact that it looks like some sort of cover-up was in operation, well that just makes it the MSM story of the week.
And Now we have the leqader of the senate saying Afghanistan has NO military solution.
Bob Woodwards Book is more fuel for the trash the GOP fire which is BUILDING.
The story line This late in the election cycle, is incompetent criminals who care MOREW for their own powerbases, than the country. And Iraq loses out in that kind of cycle.

Very true Clif! While we're all focusing on the issues here in our country, we're forgetting that there are people in Iraq right now who are terrified because of what we've done to their country!! They're under Martial Law and can be shot on sight if they are seen on the streets after a certain time. Disgusting....there is no military action to settle Iraq. Everyone knows that. What Iraq needs is for Americans to get out and let them create their own country (or divide it up like it was before). Bush & Co. are to blame for everything over there. I spit on them all.
Americans should pay attention to Martial Law in Iraq.
Bush will use that here if the outrage gets out of hand.
Isn't that what all good dictators do?
