WASHINGTON -- Sen. Arlen Specter has acknowledged that the FBI is investigating whether one of his staffers directed millions of dollars in federal money toward companies that were clients of her husband's lobbying firm.Have we had enough of the corruption yet? I have!
The Pennsylvania Republican this week released a copy of an FBI letter, sent to him this summer, that asks for help with a probe into "allegations of possible criminal misconduct" by Vicki Siegel Herson, who currently works as the senator's special projects coordinator.
In February, USA Today reported that Mr. Specter's office was instrumental in getting almost $50 million in projects for several clients of a Washington-based lobbying firm, American Defense International, between 2002 and 2005. The firm's president, Michael Herson, is the husband of Ms. Siegel Herson. Up until last year, she handled Mr. Specter's work for the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Were the democrats this bad back in the 1990's? I don't remember corruption being anywhere near the level it is with the current republicans. It's insane!!
I think the 'Category 5 political storm' is now noticeable on the horizon, Larry! The GOP is going to be bowl over when it hits. I can't wait.
