Where Is The Victory

The Commission formed to access the Iraq war and recommend a new course has ruled out Victory In Iraq.

The 10 member panel, headed by former Secretary of State James Baker, is considering 2 options to recommend to the President.

The first option is "Stability First" and the second option is "Redeploy and and Contain." These assessments were obtained from the commission by the New York Sun.

The commission has ruled out making minor fixes in the current Bush strategy, which Bush claims he is always doing.

The commission is instead going to recommend 2 policies that will contradict the Bush rhetoric of establishing democracy in the Mideast. The main focus will be to stabalize Baghdad.

After thousands of US military and Iraqi civilian deaths, billions of US tax dollars and thousands of US and Iraqi's seriously wounded, and in many cases wounded for life, is this all the American public gets for Bush's war?

Where are all those weapons of mass destructions, where are all those roses that were supposed to be thrown at US soldiers, where are the millions of barrels of oil that was supposed to flow from Iraq to pay for this war.

Where are the Iraqi soldiers that are supposed to be "standing up so US troops can stand down."

Where is the victory that Bush and Cheney promised day, after day for the past several years.

The American reputation is ruined because of the Bush war. The US has more enemies now than ever before, the economy is barely crawling and thousands of American families are destroyed because they have lost a loved one in this pathetic war.

The Republican led Baker commission has ruled out victory in Iraq. This means the Republicans view the war as a complete failure.

Where is the Victory you promised Bush, and what has the American public gained from your war?

Fantastic post, Larry. Remember when Ashcroft was bullshiting our nation when he said he doubted the war would last no more than 6 months? Only children say lies like this to get what they want!!!

The Iraq OCCUPATION is a complete disaster and what bothers me most is our soldiers are mostly in the middle of the country (Baghdad) and will have a hell of a time getting out of there when the time comes. It appears that our ammunition dump over there was attacked by insurgents. Uh oh. Our soldiers don't have the equipment they need and what will happen if the Iraqis continue to bomb our military targets?

I don't even want to think about it!! My heart sinks knowing that the asshole in the WH wants our soldiers there until 2010 no matter what. I think it's time for his prissy, drug-addicted, slutty daughters to sign up and serve their daddy's illegal occupations!!!!!

That's what I think.

Have you ever had a leaky roof, and called in an 'expert' to repair it, and he says "Oh, no problemo, we'll fix 'er up fer ya in a couple of days!" and those two days turn into two weeks, only it leaked even more, and then the 'expert' advises you it will take possibly a month, and that he's gonna have to hire some more guys, and it's going to cost a little more, and...

Like... wow, folks! When did politicians start LYING THEIR ASSES OFF??? And to expect any self-respecting totalitarian not to sponsor a war or two during his tenure is like expecting a young Rothschild not to foreclose on his first orphanage!!

Hey Kay... maybe you should have named your blog "White NOSTRIL Insanity" in honor of ol' Duh-h-h-bya, and I'll lay odds it wasn't just the fine family heritage that inspired the Bush babes to start packing their noses. You know, I really think Dad's gotta take some credit, here! I just think so! They're just a couple of dime bags off the ol' Key!

No... war is money, and a damn good living for some who don't actually have to participate in it. I don't see them wanting a change in lifestyle anytime soon. Answer? No war. Reality? Keep pumping out that cannon-fodder, folks!
