I love Attorney Tom Connolly

Don't know attorney Tom Connolly? Name not familiar? Well, he's the guy who right before the 2000 presidential election unearthed the 1976 OUI (drunk driving charge) of George W. Bush. He was lambasted by the media because he wears a cap that looks like a duck bill and it was this hat that didn't help get his message across that America was about to vote in a drunk to the office of presidency. Anyways...
Tom Connolly is back! Yup, he appeared today on an overpass in Portland, Maine wearing his Halloween costume (in the picture...his famous tan hat with the long black visor is to the right in the picture). Okay, sounds simple enough, but this year's costume consisted of an Osama bin Laden mask, a plastic machine gun, a white robe, and a sign that read: I LOVE TABOR (which stands for "Taypayers Bill of Rights" that is on the ballot here in Maine this election year and is a bill that will hurt a lot of services in many towns across Maine. Connelly is against it and so am I). Oh what fun!!
The Portland Police didn't think it was a fun costume, however. Oh no. Connolly was arrested for his outrageous protest.
It was an outrageous protest, but that is what has to be done nowadays to get our point across! Connolly was exactly correct in his reasoning of using Osama and the TABOR campaign in conjunction with each other. Let's hope Mainers don't allow TABOR to hurt our state and vote this bill write off the ballot! Also, let's hope Tom's protest motivates others to do the same across this great nation!! He has me motivated.
Read the story linked above in the title of this post. Freaking hysterical.

I still loved it. You're right though, he should have spray painted it orange. It was a great protest anyways! I love how he and his wife were up until 2am making the signs!! Love that.
