Something very strange about the Lieberman/Lamont race

Would it seem odd to you that Joe Lieberman in 2000 won that year's Senate race and his opponent lost the race with only 448,077 votes? No? Well.....Ned Lamont lost this year's mid-term election with only 448,077 votes!!!!! What are the freaking chances of that happening in our neck of the Universe?

Here's PrisonPlanet's take on it.

Here's Wonkette's funny response to this abnormalty.

Here's another one.

Here's the Hartford Courant's article that shows Lamont's votes and how exit polling showed that Lieberman was getting 25% of the votes.

What the hell!!!! I hate Joe Lieberman and if I find out that he stole this race by using his corrupt friends in his state I'm going to scream!!!

Also hat tip to Achorn's Blog for discovering this and for the following links:

Why shouldn't we expect the Lieberman race to be fixed.

After all Bush sent his repugs to support Lieberman, give fianacial backing and why not fix the election.

Isn't that how Bush wins all his races?

i definately think something is fishy about that election.

the odds of this occuring are astronomical. remember, the 2 candidates were from different parties. one was a presidential year, one wasnt. lieberman was a democrat in 2000, and independent in 2006. the 2 races are completely and utterly different, yet both of lieberman's opponents end up with exactly the same vote total? impossible.

It doesn't make sense to me and I've been reeling about it ever since you posted it on AMERICAblog last night Chris!!!

It pisses me off that ANY CANDIDATE no matter what the party would give the finger to the democratic process and would steal an election to suit their own needs!!! WTF.

I hate Joe Lieberman and for years I sympathized with the Jews of Israel and what they've had to endure for decades since WWII, but now? THEY'RE A THORN IN OUR SIDE. I don't like how they operate at all.

I feel like pulling the ears off a bunny rabbit because I'm so angry.

That is truly bizarre. You would think they'd have the sense to change the numbers at least. But they don't care. They don't have to . At least that's what they thought going into this election. Big surprise, repigs.

don't worry 'bout one senator

worry 'bout one senator and one speaker

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 373557 responses

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.

I don't know.

I hate the man, but let's keep in mind that this wasn't a scientific poll...
