Here's what 'Riverbend' had to say about Saddam's lynching...

A Lynching...

It's official. Maliki and his people are psychopaths. This really is a new low. It's outrageous- an execution during Eid. Muslims all over the world (with the exception of Iran) are outraged. Eid is a time of peace, of putting aside quarrels and anger- at least for the duration of Eid.

This does not bode well for the coming year. No one imagined the madmen would actually do it during a religious holiday. It is religiously unacceptable and before, it was constitutionally illegal. We thought we'd at least get a few days of peace and some time to enjoy the Eid holiday, which coincides with the New Year this year. We've spent the first two days of a holy holiday watching bits and pieces of a sordid lynching.

America the savior… After nearly four years and Bush's biggest achievement in Iraq has been a lynching. Bravo Americans.

Maliki has made the mistake of his life. His signature and unhidden glee at the whole execution, especially on the first day of Eid Al Adha (the Eid where millions of Muslims make a pilgrimage to Mecca), will only do more to damage his already tattered reputation. He's like a vulture in a suit (or a balding weasel). It's almost embarrassing. I kept expecting Muwafaq Al Rubaii to run over and wipe the drool from the corner of his mouth as he signed for the execution. Are these the people who represent the New Iraq? We're in so much more trouble than I ever thought.

And no- not the celebrations BBC are claiming. With the exception of a few areas, the streets are empty.

Now we come to CNN. Shame on you CNN journalists- you're getting lazy. The least you can do is get the last words correct when you write a story about an execution. Your articles are read the world over and will go down in history as references. You people are the biggest news network in the world- the least you can do is spend some money on a decent translator. Saddam's last words were NOT "Muqtada Al Sadr" as Munir Haddad claimed, according to the article below. If anyone had seen at least part of the video they showed on TV, you'd know that.

READ THE REST HERE.

Comments:
Don't forget this magnificent government was handpicked and installed by Bush.

All these guys want is to bleed the idiot in chief of all our tax dollars while helping the enemy kill more of our troops.

Pat Lang who was a Colonel in the US Army who specialized in the middle east agrees with riverbend that it was a lynching, but he looks at it from am American perspective.

Sgt York on Lynching

"Taunting someone about to be executed is something they do at lynchings, not judicial proceedings."

This was a lynching. Reminds me of those Western movies where the Sheriff has a cattle rustler in his jail and the mob demands that he be turned over for a hanging... except the sheriff refuses.

S.H. was captured by the US Military and was in US Military custody. He should have been given POW[Prisoner of War] status according to the GC[Geneva Convention]. Instead, US soldiers walked him back and forth from his jail cell to a sham trial and then escorted him from the US Military prison and handed him over to the lynch mob.

He was in US custody and a prisoner of war. The US had the option to try him for crimes against the US (not sure what those are) or to turn him over to the Hague for crimes against humanity.

The Western Sheriff is now a thug who surrendered his prisoner to the lynch mob.

Sgt. York"

Yep, Saddam was lynched. This whole matter is going to come back to haunt Bush. Good. He deserves it.

GWB is the stupidest Jackass i've ever seen, I have to ask:

1) Why execute Saddam during a holy time of peace?

2) why not wait either a few weeks or a year or so till ourt Soldiers are out of there and will not pay the price for the Arrogant folly of GWB needing to feed his massive ego at our countries expense.

3) Why not give Saddam a fair trial either for war crimes at the hague or by his own country, I find it hard to believe that he could have been found not guilty with all the attrocities he committed but if so a fair trial is what America stands for and what Saddam and everyone deserves, denying anyone a fair trial means we are no better than the people we decry.

Bush is so stupid he waited until after getting slaughtered in the elections to lynch him and the idiot thinks he will be popular again.

Wll, I guess in this instance, his cowboy(?)stance has finally paid off .
Like everything else thus far, incompetence is his consistency ; (

Mike, the reason why Saddam was never put on trial for gassing the Kurds is because the current Cabal in the White House had their finger prints all over it! This is why Saddam wasn't tried at the Hague. He knew way too much. His hurried lynching was to cover Bush and his Pig's asses.

In a thread below, I posted an article from TimesOnline in the UK and this paper was reporting the Iraqis were going to wait the typical 30 days until executing Saddam. Something changed within 24 hours. Oh that's right, the criminals in the White House got nervous and it wouldn't surprise me if the executioners are on the American payroll!

Death squads...execution squads...what's the difference really? Not much.

"Bush is so stupid he waited until after getting slaughtered in the elections to lynch him and the idiot thinks he will be popular again."

Larry... the Grand Poohbah of the Loyal Order Of Moronic Assholes (Bush) will ALWAYS be popular with a certain segment of society, i.e. a certain Retardlican lab specimen known as mti, who has generously supplied a posting of Saddam being lynched on his blog "NUTWORLD -- POLITICS AS PERCIEVED BY A LUNATIC" (Or something to that effect!)

He calls it "Justice." I call it denial in the realm of psychopathy, and just how it is that people can ignore evidence that even a Sea Cucumber wouldn't miss, boggles my mind!

Whatever Hussein has done, he certainly knows how to die, which is more than I can say for a certain armchair Rambo and the snivelling gaggle of bilge rats and ritual masturbators comprising the palace of the 'Snow King.'

I guess it would take Bush dropping his pants and yodelling "Yankee Doodle" on national T.V. to wake some people up... SOME.

ROFLMAO Rocky!!!!! You freaking crack me up but you also make me cry at the same time because you are so right about everything. Sea Cucumber? Bah hahahahahahahaha!
