101 US Soldiers dead this month in Iraq and one mother still weeps

One hundred and one soldiers have been killed this month in Iraq. That number may not seem like a lot to those who support this war, but for myself and others the number signifies a tragedy.

When one soldier dies, a whole community mourns and will so for years to come.

Today I met an extraordinary elderly woman in her early 80’s. She is the sister of one of my housecleaning customers who is 70 and is currently fighting a terminal disease (scholeraderma…in her case her lungs are hardening). My customer was not there because she went to the hospital last night because she had stopped breathing. Betty came by the house to do a load of laundry and to make dinner for her sister’s husband for when he gets home.

It wasn’t too long until her and I started up a conversation. She told me she’s going to miss her sister when she dies (she has less than 6 weeks to live and this is why I’ve been called in to help too) and was concerned for Mary’s husband who is not well himself. I asked her if her husband was alive and she suddenly got very quiet. I felt kind of uncomfortable because I thought that maybe I had asked something too personal after only knowing her for an hour.

She said, “My husband died in the Vietnam war”. After a few seconds of pause, I gave her my condolences and she said, “Everytime I turn on the news today and I hear that a soldier has died in this rotten, stinking Iraq war, I cry for the mothers and the families who have to deal with this type of loss. A death from war is not the same as a death in a car accident. Our children are not in our country when they die and they die without their family near them.”

Betty, whom I had only known for an hour at least, and I cried together this afternoon. She’s right when she says that having a loved one die in a war, even when the family knows it is a possibility, is a tragedy and it’s a tragedy that continues for a lifetime for the family affected.

Betty still longs for her husband and I could see it in her eyes. I asked her how her husband had died. She said he was on an aircraft that had just loaded up with bombs and had just taken off to drop bombs on a village when a huge gust of wind tore the plane apart (apparently the planes back then were made cheaply because they went through so many during the Vietnam war) and it crashed. Betty’s husband and the others who were on that flight did not survive. What still haunts Betty today is that there were no remains of her husband to be buried. She misses him terribly and has spent the last 38 years single and plans to remain that way until she dies.

So, one hundred and one deaths in the month of October 2006 is a huge number to those of us who don’t understand what noble cause the Iraq war is being fought for and those of us who don’t understand what war is good for.

Being with Betty today made me realize that there are thousands of people in our country connected to these soldiers who have sacrificed and they are going through exactly what Betty has gone through all these years. She understands their pain and now so do I.

George Bush: "Democrats are lacking a plan for Iraq"

Is this man freaking insane!!!?!!!! The democrats are the ones lacking the plan? Oh for the love of the Banana Muffins, it is his party who is in control of all levels of our government right now and it is he who COMMANDS THE FREAKING MILITARY. It is he who needs to come up with a freaking plan!

What is the republican plan? Well, for the longest time (since 2003) we've heard Bush and his Minions say "stay the course!". This has been their plan for years. The American people have asked these assholes what is the course that we must stay on, but as usual, all we've gotten from them is crickets chirping. To put it bluntly, the assholes in the republican party have no idea what their plan is but because they're calling it a plan (or a course of action)...so therefore, it must be alright and must make sense!

"Stay the course"...means what? It means to continue in the same direction. Quite frankly, what I'm seeing and reading about Iraq tells me that the course of action for the past 3 years has been:

1) To use our soldiers to protect American interests only and not the Iraqis

2) To allow our munitions to be stolen from our soldiers leaving them vulnerable

3) To not give our soldiers the stuff they need

4) To create a confusing democracy by having elections that consist of 300 political parties and 3000 candidates for the voters to choose from

5) To give the Iraqi voters purple fingers and then have the USA change the Iraqi leaders any day they damn well please that the Iraqi people elected

6) To allow the pilfering of our treasury and to not investigate the missing BILLIONS in Iraq

7) To do what they said they would never do: Nation building

8) The Construction of US military bases/Embassy which will upset the terrorists even more than they were on 9/10/01

9) Over 2800 US soldier deaths, over 20,000 US casualties, and over 600,000 Iraqis dead

10) AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT WHO IS AN ABSOLUTE IMBECILE!!!!

This is the wrong course and to stay on this course will continue to be disastorous for us, for the Iraqi people, and for our nation's reputation that has already pretty much desinigrated.

The republicans are the ones who wanted this war and they are the ones who need to come up with ANOTHER FREAKING PLAN OR COURSE!!!

Jees.

GOP Losing Christians

According to a Pew Research Poll, Conservative Christians are turning away from the Republican Party and are looking elsewhere this election season.

The favorable rating of Republicans has fallen from 74% in 2004 to 54% today.

Conservative Christians are upset that the Republicans didn't install their agenda, since they helped put them into power.

Many Christian voters are especially upset over the many acts of Republican corruption in the highest of leadership of the Republican Party.

Christian voters are also upset over the Iraq war and this follows a nationwide trend among all Americans.

An increasing call among Christian voters is for their Religious leaders to stay out of politics and work on faith issues among their flock.

As long as Falwell, Dobson, Robertson and other noted leaders of the "Religious Right" are still driven with Power and Prestige, average Christian voters will continue to go elsewhere, with their tithes and with their votes.

Lets hope thats true.

The RNC has received money from the porn industry...

...so the next time you hear one of the right wing blowhard asshats bring up Jim Webb's fictional novel or question Harold Ford on his trips to the Playboy mansion (he's single people....what single man wouldn't go to the Playboy mansion!!), bring this up.

For some reason I was unable to copy sections of Joshua Micah Marshall's column on this subject, but you can read about it here.

There is also talk of Ken Mehlman, who heads the RNC, being a closeted gay who has had a long affair or "friendship" with a man named Phil Berg, who is an attorney.

Posted on AMERICABLOG:

Nice ugly pic of Ken Mehlman on this thread > lol. Mehlman got OUTED by blogactive.com as a closeted hypocrite homosexual on this past Friday. He had a male lover at Harvard Law School named Phil Berg, who is now a openly Gay attorney, and they still see each other.
I have no idea WHY the GOP wanted Mehlman, a secret Gay guy, to run the GOP party > ask the Repubs in DC?

PLEASE SPREAD THIS AROUND!!! Hey, if the neo-republicans want to play dirty, then I think it's time for the democrats, liberals, and rational republicans to start spewing some truth back in their general direction!!!

Women's rights in Afghanistan

The Bush Pigs and the Pig himself would like for America and the world to believe that women in Afghanistan haven't had it so good since the Taliban has taken over the country, but that is what they're trying to do. They believe if they just repeat lies over and over and over again...Americans will say, "Okay, I believe them...Afghan women have it as good as American women do because their daughters go to school now". Spit.
Of course they don't want you to read this:

KIRKUK, Iraq (AFP) - Gunmen broke into the house of an Iraqi women's rights campaigner and shot her dead in front of her three children, police have said.

Human rights activists say the lives of women in Iraqi society have worsened dramatically since the US-led invasion of March 2003, amid a general break down in law and order and the rise of conservative Islamist militias.
Captain Imad Khudhir of the Kirkuk police said Saturday 38-year-old Halima Ahmed Hussein al-Juburi was killed late on Friday by 10 unidentified attackers who broke into her home in the northern town of Hawijah.

"We do not know the motive behind the crime," he said.
This makes the Pig Mouthpieces look bad from start to finish! Liars!

Of course, what better way to catapult the propaganda that Afghanistan is quickly becoming a buddying democracy where the women, children, and others are reaping the benefits than to bring in the Big Guns to help you out!

From Bush's press conference yesterday with the Secretary General of NATO, who is rightly called "de Hoop":

THE PRESIDENT: I'm proud to welcome the Secretary General of NATO here to the Oval Office. We've just had a fascinating discussion.

First, Mr. Secretary General, you've been a very strong leader. As a matter of fact, you've made NATO a values-based organization that is capable of dealing with the true threats of the 21st century. I appreciate your leadership. I particularly appreciate the fact that you have led the 26 nations of NATO into Afghanistan to help this young democracy. You know what I know, that the real challenge for the future is to help people of moderation and young democracies succeed in the face of threats and attacks by radicals and extremists who do not share our ideology, have kind of a dark vision of the world.

I appreciate the fact that you're reaching out to global partners, nations which share our value, but have not been considered a -- necessarily considered a part of NATO. I want to thank your view of making sure NATO continues to provide the opportunity for other nations to join NATO.

I'm looking forward to Riga. The Riga summit is a time for us to celebrate the great successes of this partnership. Mr. Secretary General and I will be there reminding our partners that we have a lot of work to be done in the noble cause of peace.

So, welcome.

SECRETARY GENERAL de HOOP SCHEFFER: Mr. President, thank you very much, and thank you for giving me your time. I can echo your words. NATO is delivering security in the 21st century. And that means defending values, and that means defending values not only in Europe, but far away from NATO's traditional area. And the case in point, of course, is Afghanistan, where there was a regime which was grossly violating human rights, no women's rights, public executions. There we are trying to assist the Afghan government to establish democracy, to establish human rights, to establish those values.

And let me -- let me say that when, in those actions of NATO, of those brave NATO soldiers, civilians are killed, as happened two days ago, that's always a tragedy. That's a tragedy.

But let me convince you to look at the broader picture. They are against democracy. Girls did not go to school when the Taliban was running Afghanistan. Now they go to school. Now there is a precedence. Now there is a government. Civilian victims are a tragedy, but we are there in favor of democracy; they are there to destroy democracy, and they are there to destroy our values.

Mr. President, I'm looking forward to the Riga summit, where we'll see a 21st century NATO delivering security in many, many places of the world with 50,000 soldiers, including many Americans, on three continents. That is the challenge, but I can tell you that NATO is up to the challenge, NATO is delivering security, and NATO will continue to do this, indeed, with its presence, but also with global partners, because terrorism, proliferation, failed states and failing states are global threats we have to face and to counter on a global scale.

Mr. President, once again, thank you very much for being here.
Spit. As usual, Bush and his Minions all live in a Zen-like delusion world where everything is peachy and rosy and where reality is not allowed in.

Of course, the rest of this press conference was Bush in full denial mode that Cheney was insinuating that they use waterboarding and that he likes the idea of it. Read it if you feel like vomitting.

The economy is strong! Oh wait...no it isn't

From The Economist:

The American economy

Slow road ahead

Oct 26th 2006 WASHINGTON, DC

From The Economist print edition

America's long-term potential rate of growth is falling, perhaps to its lowest pace in over a century

EVERYONE knows that America's economy is slowing. Thanks to the bursting of the housing bubble, overall GDP growth has fallen back sharply. The biggest short-term uncertainty for the world economy is whether American consumers stop spending and drag the country into recession. But beyond the business cycle, another slowdown has received scant attention. America's potential rate of growth—that is, the pace at which annual output can expand without pushing up inflation—is also falling. By some estimates, it could drop to 2.5% over the next few years, which would be the slowest pace in over a century.

If that happens, the consequences will be serious. Tax revenues will grow more slowly than expected. Monetary policy will become harder to manage: as the 1970s showed, inflation can get out of control if central bankers do not realise that an economy's speed limit has fallen. Financial markets will be disturbed as conventional wisdom adjusts from an assumption of 3-3.5% potential output growth, and investors downgrade their expectations.

Potential output is hard to estimate, let alone predict. That is because an economy's trend growth rate cannot be measured directly. It has to be inferred. Over the long run economic growth depends on two things: increases in the supply and productivity of labour. The growth of labour supply, in turn, depends on the growth of the working-age population, the proportion of people who work and the number of hours they put in. The pace of productivity growth depends on capital investment, improvements in business processes and technological innovation. By looking at such trends, economists can estimate future potential output.

Although it generates precise-looking forecasts, this kind of “growth accounting” is fraught with difficulty. Both labour supply and productivity growth bounce around during business cycles. The share of people willing to work may fall in a recession, for instance, as discouraged people temporarily drop out of the workforce. Once job prospects pick up, they might return. Productivity growth is usually higher at the beginning of an expansion than at its end as firms work their existing employees harder before hiring new people. As a result, potential output can temporarily diverge from its underlying trends, making it even harder to estimate.

Nonetheless, the broad post-war history of America's underlying growth rate is clear. In the 1960s potential output accelerated to around 4% a year, largely because more women got jobs. In the early 1970s, for reasons that are still ill-understood, productivity growth slowed sharply, pulling down the trend rate of growth. Between the mid-1970s and mid-1990s America's economic speed limit was about 3%. Around half that growth came from an expanding workforce; the other half from productivity growth.

"Death of a President" the movie opens today

The movie, "Death of a President", opens today in select theaters across the country. This movie is very, very contraversial because it shows the assassination (the killing of....not wounded like some theater goers thought would be the case) of a sitting president........George W. Bush. Now, we can all chuckle about this because over the past six years we've all thought about how wonderful it would be for this man to not be around any more, but in reality, there are consequences in that. The biggest one being that Dick Cheney would then become president and we all know that this man has been instrumental in the policy making of the Bush Regime and almost all of this man's ideologies have been formed over the last 30 years (his membership of the Project of the New American Century along with Rumsfeld has devoured America). He's a scarier man than the Lunkhead Bush for sure!

So, even though many neocon Bush Appeasers across the nation are denouncing this movie, I think it's really thought provoking and should be watched by everyone. Actually, I don't see what all the fuss is about considering my eyes have had to witness THE REAL ASSASSINATION OF JOHN F. KENNEDY for years on my television! This is a fictional account and a "what if?" kind of movie. I've read a few articles where people were silent after the assassination in the movie and were silent for the rest of it too. I think that speaks volumes. As much as we don't like Bush, we certainly don't want to see the man be gunned down. As a nation, we've seen it for real and it is painful. We would much rather have him resign or be impeached. Assassination? No.

I'm so happy to find out that it's playing here in Maine at a theater in Westbrook and will definately be going to see it. Once I do, I will write about it.

Here is the official website for the film.

Here are the list of theaters featuring this film across the country.

He's still wondering what to do.....

.....nothing has changed.

Right wing fascist Pigs are sending out "Anthrax"...

...again, but this time...they decided to send it to Bill Clinton's office. What a bunch of freaking yahoos these right wingers are. Actually, they're a dangerous bunch of asswipes. They have done more damage and have caused more death to those who seek peace than any other particular party in this country. John F. Kennedy's assassination, Martin Luther King's assassination, September 11, 2001, and the Anthrax attacks after 9/11 in which all receivers of the Anthrax were democrats or those in the "liberal media".

Republicans hate peace and they hate those that a majority of our country loves. The End.

I doubt this powder is the real thing, but if it is, I think it's time TO VOTE THE FUCKERS OUT OF THE CONGRESS IN NOVEMBER, SO THE DEMOCRATS CAN REMOVE THESE ASSHOLES ONE BY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, if it's real, I think it's about time Americans stormed the Bastille at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with nooses in hand!!!!!!!!

I've had it with these fascist Mafia Pigs. They're Evil. When Hugo Chavez called Bush 'the Devil' he was absolutely correct in that statement!!! They're all Devils.

Quote of the day...

"It’s a hilarious spectacle of a whole party re-enacting the classic scene in Mel Brooks’s “Blazing Saddles,” in which the sheriff holds the gun to his own head to take himself hostage." ~ Maureen Dowd about the republicans in her article "Running Against Themselves" (linked in the title of this post)

Oh the propaganda! Does it ever end with the fascist Pigs?!

Is Dick Cheney insane or does he just have his minions keep catapulting the propaganda for him, so no one will notice that he's a lying, deceitful, fascist Pig? I'm thinking both people! He is a freak of a man!

Yesterday on Randi Rhodes program on Air America Radio she played an audio of Dick Cheney on an obscure radio station in Fargo, North Dakota saying that he thinks waterboarding is a 'no brainer'. When I first heard it, I was livid because all this time the Dick and the Lunkhead have said that they don't torture and waterboarding is not their cup of tea. Well, during WWII our soldiers who were captured by the Japanese were waterboarded and Americans didn't like the idea of it back then. In fact, it's been a technique that we shouldn't be using for this reason alone! Why? Because one of our soldiers could be captured and could be waterboarded and if we, Americans (actually, I should say our 'leaders'), are using this kind of torture, then we are giving our enemies the okay to do the same! Apparently, this is okay now and the Dick is for it. Blasphemy!!!!!

Oh the progaganda too!

Today, Tony Snow was asked quite a few times about Cheney's comments about waterboarding and he started systematically denying that Cheney was referring to waterboarding when he said, "a no brainer". Oh for the love of the Banana Muffins! Americans have heard the tape. Americans have immediately understood that that is EXACTLY what the fucker meant. Americans are NOW disgusted that the Vice President of the United States is having the White House spokesperson now say that he didn't say what Americans thought he said!!!!

(Would someone please give me a bunny rabbit so I could pull it's ears off! This is how pissed off I am!!! Spit.)

Oh, and it gets better. Not only is the Dick catapulting the propaganda by denying infering something when the evidence is plain to all who listen to the audio, but ole Dick's wife Lynne.......is also catapulting her own form of propaganda BY DENYING THAT HER BOOK "SISTERS" DOES NOT INCLUDE LESBIAN LOVE SCENES, BROTHELS, AND ATTEMPTED RAPE! What the fuck is wrong with these assholes in the Cheney family? Are they all just fucking insane or do they really believe that MOST Americans are too stupid to realize that they're being lied to and deceive by fascist Pigs hell bent on destroying our nation by flushing everything down the Orwellian Memory Hole?

Well, this American is not fooled and if I had the chance I would spit in the face of the Dick and the Lynn. They deserve it. We're tired of their bullshit.

As you know.......VOTE FOR CHANGE IN NOVEMBER.....even if the race looks like a landslide in the democrats favor! We can't allow these assholes to continue the lies, the deceits, and all their propaganda to enter our homes anymore!!!

Another Terror Hoax?

Great Britain has "discovered" an Al-Qaida threat to supposedly blow up oil facilities in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

This "threat" was supposedly given last month, but it is just 2 weeks before the U.S. elections that Britain has decided to make it public.

Britain and the U.S are taking precautionary measures to "watch for terrorist" but will not enter Saudi waters.

Is this "threat" another phony attempt to scare Americans right before the November elections?

Is this "threat" more of the same rhetoric that the Bush administration uses when they are in troubled waters with the public?

Is this "threat" not only designed to bring fear into U.S. voters, but also enable Big Oil to have another reason to raise oil prices, without Bush being blamed?

After all the "terror alerts" that suddenly pop up when the Bush administration wants to distract voters from the mess in Iraq, can Americans really believe this election eve "threat" as being real?

US soldiers can write a letter now...

...to their representatives here at home to express their displeasure with the Iraq occupation. Hopefully if enough letters are written by our off-duty soldiers or by soldiers who are now home from Iraq, the Congress will freakin listen!!

Here's an article on it:

U.S. troops speak against Iraq war

Service members use protection under whistle-blower laws to encourage Congress to pull American forces out of Iraq.
BY STEPHANIE HEINATZ

October 26, 2006

More than 200 active-duty service members are publicly asking their congressional representatives to end the occupation of Iraq and promptly bring American troops home.

Their action marks the first time since the United States invaded Iraq in 2003 that men and women still in uniform have publicly and collectively spoken out against operations there.

They are doing so under the Military Whistle-Blower Protection Act, which says active duty, National Guard and Reserve forces can communicate with their legislators without fear of reprisal.

In a conference call Wednesday with reporters, three of the troops involved in the effort pointed out that they are doing this off-duty, out of uniform and in no way as representatives of the military.

"While we do serve our country, we feel this occupation should come to an end," said Jonathan Hutto, a Navy seaman stationed in Norfolk.

If sent to Iraq tomorrow, Hutto said, he wouldn't disobey an order.

"We're not pacifists. We are not conscientious objectors. We are not encouraging anything illegal," Hutto said. They're just encouraging any service member who feels the same way to go to www.appealforredress.org.

"The way the Web page is set up is the service member sends a letter directly to their Congress member," said J.E. McNeil, an attorney advising the effort and the executive director for the Washington-based Center on Conscience & War, a group that helps protect the rights of conscientious objectors.

The service members submit their name, rank, duty station and home ZIP code. An electronic letter - stating that "staying in Iraq will not work and is not worth the price" - is then sent to their representative.

"When men and women join the military and put on the uniform they don't give up their rights as U.S. citizens," McNeil said. "Participating as fully as possible in their government, that's what these men and women are doing."

The grass-roots effort began early this year with Hutto as one of the organizers.

Hutto hasn't been reprimanded, but Navy public affairs officers did give him guidance so that he didn't violate the U.S. Code of Military Justice, a Pentagon official said.

"The idea ... originated when I was deployed off the coast of Iraq," Hutto said of his deployment with the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier.

An old professor had sent him a copy of "Soldiers in Revolt," David Cortright's book documenting the U.S. soldiers who opposed the Vietnam War.

"By 1971," Hutto said, "more than 250,000 of these active-duty service people appealed to Congress" advocating an end to that war.

Hutto and Liam Madden, a Marine Corps sergeant from Vermont, then brought Cortright to Norfolk to talk about the Vietnam-era G.I. movement.

"Why do I support this appeal for redress?" Madden said. "It's as simple as I oppose the war in Iraq. I feel it is my duty, not as a Marine, but as an informed citizen, to inform people there is a tool for them.

"The occupation is perpetuating more violence," Madden added. "It's costing way too many human, Iraqi civilian and American service members' lives."

As of Wednesday morning, nearly 2,800 U.S. troops have been killed in Iraq, with more than 20,000 wounded, according to the Defense Department.

Kathleen Duignan, executive director of the National Institute of Military Justice, said uniformed service members can express their views on personal time using personal resources.

Duignan, also an attorney, spent six years in the military as a judge advocate general. Her institute is a Washington-based nonprofit that aims to help the public better understand the intricacies of military justice.

"Everybody who wears the uniform is entitled to be equal members in the political process," she said. "You just have to be careful when and how you do it."
If you're a soldier or you have a soldier in your life who is against the Iraq occupation, please have him or her visit the Appeal for Redress website to submit their letter. I've linked to it on the sidebar as well.

We want our soldiers home. Our presense in Iraq is only making things worse over there and the soldiers know it. How wonderful it is that some of our soldiers are using THEIR RIGHTS to speak out against this atrocious occupation. So, the next time you hear Bush saying that our soldiers are over there fighting for our rights, we must remind him that our soldiers have rights too and MUST NOT BE PUNISHED FOR USING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

Bush's Great Economy

The illustrious George W Bush proudly boasts of a supposed growing economy that all Americans can be "proud" of, which obviously he hasn't seen his own figures.

US existing home sales fell again for the 6th straight month which was opposite of what many economist predicted.

Existing home sales are based on the amount of closing transactions and fall in line with the rest of the housing industry that Bush is so "proud" of.

Bush obviously isn't aware that as goes the housing industry, so goes the rest of the economy.

The downturn in the housing market has greatly contributed to the overall decline in the US economy.

The huge inventory of unsold homes coupled with a very low rate of pending sales, indicate the Bush housing slump will continue through much of 2007.

Bush is "proud" of his economy. He just isn't aware that the economy of average Americans isn't the same as for the Bush elite.

More voter fraud...

...but this time if your last name is longer than James Webb's, chances are the computer will cut it off. Huh? As far as election officials are concerned, this last name cut off will not affect the vote and will only be seen on the summary page after the person has voted and before they hit the button to process the vote.

My question: What if the computer internally decides to "throw out" these votes without the knowledge of the voter or officials?!!!!!

It needs to be Federal law in this country that all ballots be paper and filled out with permanent black marker!!!!!!

I spit on Pat Buchanan

Last night on MSNBC's, Scarborough Country, Pat Buchanan ranted about CNN's choice to air the video of a US soldier being gunned down in Iraq. He didn't like the idea that this video came out before the election and he didn't like the fact that Americans had to see it.

Well, what the hell! Would someone please explain to Pat Buchanan that his Fuehrer, George W. Bush, chose to go to war against a sovereign nation and this war (really an occupation but let's pretend here for Pat's sake) is still going on! Will someone please explain to Pat that if we, as Americans, are going to be subjected to the torture pictures of the prisoners in our custody and the images of young children bloodied and dead from this atrocious war and it's barbaric outcomes, why the hell it isn't in our nation's best interest to see our own dying? Why is it okay to see the "enemy" dying but not our own?

Why is it okay to not show the pictures of our war dead coming home on America soil with the US flag draped over their coffins?

Why is it not okay to show the images of our soldiers wounded in the hospital?

Why is it okay for Donald Rumsfeld to rubber stamp the death certificates of our dead soldiers?

Why is it okay for our soldiers to come home to America from the battlefield as cargo in a commercial airliner?

Why is it okay to show the beheading tapes on our news programs?

and,

Why is it okay for documentaries in our country about John F. Kennedy's assassination to show his skull exploding as the bullet passes through it? Why!!! Why is it we have to watch one of the most beloved president's in our history being murdered (at the hands of the right wing I may add) but we can't see one of our soldiers dying in the same manner?!!!!

Why doesn't Pat think for just one second that Americans want to know the reality of what is happening over there in Iraq, because without seeing the images or the reality, there will be no change and quite frankly.....Americans won't feel close to the daily life of our soldiers while they're on the battlefield.

We care about our soldiers Pat and if you and your right wing whackos haven't figured that out by now, then...you're imbeciles!

Pat, if you and your minions cannot show Americans the positive effects of our occupation of that country, then don't bitch about CNN showing a video that wasn't perky and sweet, because the reality is the war is not going good. It's not even going surperbly. We want the war/occupation to end Pat and if we are continually being told that the war is moving along in a rosey fashion and everything is fine, but the reality is the absolute opposite, then YOUR HEAD AND OTHERS ARE GOING TO ROLL!!

Spit.

Now that the Bush Pigs...

...are no longer attaching themselves to THEIR phrase of "stay the course!", because they've realized that by saying this phrase over and over and over again, it has made them look like a bunch of ding dongs. Instead of using this phrase, they're using other words to describe the exact same thing. To help them out, I've come up with a few for them to use:

How bout...

"keeping on the same path!"
"moving forward in the same direction that we've been moving!"
"let's continue the same fight!"
"our current plan is the key to success!"
"we're not looking back nor forward but are happy to be moving!"
"we're not getting off the train!"
"not moving backwards which is good!"
"keeping with our original plan!"

You get the idea. The Pigs in the White House are nothing but a bunch of Orwellian Pigs who have stated that future presidents will have to deal with their chosen Iraqi war and this is why, no matter what they call it, their course is not about to change!!! Oh yes, they've met with the Iraqi leaders in recent days to have them start taking a more active role in the security of their nation, but the goal for them achieving this is 2008, which means..........THEY'RE STAYING THE COURSE.

American Family Association has once again...

...shown Americans what a bunch of gay-bashing, hateful bigots they are!

A few years ago I decided to put myself on the email list of the AFA so I could see what these assholes send out to their whackos...and wow!...it's been quite a ride. For instance, this past summer ole Don Wildmon, who is the Founder of this hateful group, sent out letters insisting that his readers start the 'war on Christmas' debate and go after any company that refuses to put "Christmas" anywhere outside or inside their companies. It never ends with these people and they make sure to get the dialogue started months ahead of time too!!! Bunch of hateful weirdos they are...

Anyways, I just got their latest email and ole Don is going after Wal-Mart again because of Wal-Mart's refusal to be a bigoted, hateful gay-bashing company like Don and his group is, so Don's head is spinning on it's axis and fire is coming out of his mouth and ears!! Here's what the fire breathing dragon had to say about Wal-Mart:

Wal-Mart Rolls Out Red Carpet For Homosexual Marriage

Dear Kay,

When Wal-Mart announced their support for the homosexual agenda a few weeks ago, they meant what they said. You will remember that Wal-Mart asked for, and received, permission to join the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). The company announced they were giving two large grants to NGLCC. The world's largest retailer was rewarded with a position on the board of NGLCC. Wal-Mart also announced they would give preference to homosexual-owned businesses in purchasing products.

Justin Nelson, president of NGLCC, said he expects Wal-Mart to use its influence to pressure suppliers like P&G, Johnson & Johnson, and Gillette to give homosexual businesses preferential treatment. Wal-Mart is also working on a plan to provide domestic-partnership benefits to homsexual employee "partners." The NGLCC is a leading promoter of homosexual marriage.

A quick search for books sold by Wal-Mart found the following related to the promotion of homosexual marriage:

What God Has Joined Together: The Christian Case for Gay Marriage

Gay Marriage: Why It Is Good for Gay, Good for Straights, and Good for America

Legalizing Gay Marriage

Why You Should Give a -amn about Gay Marriage

Civil Wars: A Battle for Gay Marriage

Gay Marriage and Democracy: Equality for All

Defending Same-Sex Marriage

Why Marriage Matters: America, Equality, and Gay People's Right to Marry

Gay Marriage, Real Life: Ten Stories of Love and Family

A quick search of Wal-Mart's website turned up the following number of items for sale:

Gay - 1148
Lesbian - 468
Transgender - 40
Bisexual - 38
Gay Marriage - 26

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman

I'm no fan of Wal-Mart, but I have to say, I think it's terrific that this company, being as right wing as it is, has an open minded CEO and he understands that having gay employees or having distributors/manufacturers who have gay employees is not the end of the world!!!

As a liberal, I believe we all have a right to live free and without harm just because we're all different. I am not gay, but my cousin Johnny was (he died of AIDS in March of 2000 and he is still very much missed by all of us! He was the light of our family!) and I am so thankful that his 42 years on the planet were peaceful ones. For some reason, Johnny was never exposed to gay bashing and the hatred of the religious right. He had it good. I would have loved the opportunity to go shopping with him if he had found 'Mr. Right' (no pun...God no LOL). It would have been great fun.

So, I spit on the people at the American Family Association and this is why I have them under the "American Taliban" link on this blog. They truly are the American Taliban because they wouldn't think twice about stoning a gay to death in the streets, especially if it was a lesbian with her ankles showing from under her burka!!

Armstrong Williams has cut a deal

Well, of course Armstrong Williams has cut a deal. He was "Mr. Propanganda" a few years ago on his radio talk show where he was promoting Bush policies ("No Child Left Behind")after receiving money to do so! Pig. Spit. Punch.

Of course, cutting a deal when it comes to a republican fascist Pig means to accept no responsibility, pretend like you have no idea what the prosecutors are talking about, but yet, pay a fine because you're a really nice guy who thinks all 'non-criminals' should do so. Yup, you heard it folks. Williams has admitted no wrong doing, but yet, has no problem paying $34,000 for a propaganda crime he didn't commit! Pig. Spit. Face kick.

I would have rathered seen the ass go to jail for at least a month so he could get the idea that it's illegal to accept tainted money to promote the Bush Regime's tainted freaking programs!!!

Because he didn't go to jail, I will therefore stick to my original plan in November by voting for ALL of the democrats that appear on the ballot. You should too if you're sick and tired of the fascist Pigs in the White House, the Congress, and their friends in radio (or living under a bridge).

The House Of Hassert

Republican House Speaker Dennis Hassert sits by as his loyal staff all "lawyer up" before testifying before the House Ethics Committee.

Hassert has to wonder, are they all as loyal as he thinks? Are they all supporting his massive coverup?

Hassert may feel secure that these aides have been longtime pals, who have enjoyed the benefits that his power can bring.

What if one of the aides decides to cut a deal? What if one of Hassert's aides, senses that be may be Hassert's fall guy and decides to get Hassert first.

Does Hassert really command the loyality of his associates no matter what?

As other top Clerks for the House testify that Hassert knew years ago about the Foley perversion, maybe this will be the downfall of the House of Hassert.

If the congressional elections don't take Hassert down, his own top aides just might.

Bush met with top war commanders...

...to discuss the strategy in Iraq and to listen to what they had to say, and guess what? No change in course! Yup, Bush, who is the Charlatan of our country, either didn't listen to a word the commanders on the ground in Iraq were saying to him or he just had this meeting to make it look like he's on top of things over there or he just danced around like the good Charlatan he is.

It just seems very plausible to me that when one of the commanders said to Bush in this meeting, "Uh sir, we're in real trouble over there. We don't know who the enemy is and we're right smack dab in the middle of a civil war that we have no part of being in, our soldiers don't have the most current equipment to...", only for Bush to say back, "Well then, stay the course". Another commander says, "But sir, we are not wanted in Iraq and we're hearing from the Iraqis that they want us out and we've come up with a strategy...", to which Bush replys, "Find another strategy then! We're staying the course we're currently on and I don't want to hear differently!".

The course in Iraq to the Bush Pigs is a financial one. They refuse to come out and say that but it's so obvious to myself and others that this is why the Pigs chose to illegally invade and occupy Iraq. Part of the reason was for the oil and the rest of it was nation building. The Pigs are using Iraq as a testing ground to see how much money they can pilfer and plunder from the American treasury by charging our government (and their government too don't forget! traitors they are!!) for services not rendered. They're thieves and why would thieves want to change course when the course has been very lucrative for them!!!!!

The only way to change the course in Iraq is to vote the democrats into control in November. I think the first step the democrats should take is to show Americans where the money has been spent over there in Iraq. The Government Accountability Office stated a few months ago that there was nothing in writing to verify where the money has gone in Iraq. It's been stolen from us under our noses and it would benefit the democrats to show Americans that.

Stop funding the war until the books are straight and if the books can't be straightened out then it's time to redeploy our troops to another country, which will put American businessmen in peril over there and it will force them to also leave Iraq. The Iraqis will be able to PROFIT FOR THEMSELVES and will be able to take back control of their country.

Nothing will change as long as Bush & Cheney's corporate Swines are in there stealing our money. This is the course they talk about when they scream, "Stay the course!". We need to end this course.

Is it just me...

...or do you also get the feeling that Dick Cheney (pictured to the left from earlier today) is five stories below the surface of the Earth in a bunker scheming and planning something horrific against our country if the democrats take control of the House and/or Senate after the election in November?

I'm getting that feeling and I had a conversation with 'Kladvint' on AMERICAblog about Dick Cheney and we both feel that something is up.

Here's part of the conversation:

Bumpkis, yesterday on the news all day it was being reported that a threat to our country could come in the form of 'silent ships' in our oceans. Fear card!!!!! The Bush Regime apparently is tracking North Korean ships (first reported as mercenary ships, then submarines, and then a report along side it that said 'silent ships') in the Pacific Ocean right now. Uh huh. Something is getting ready to happen and if there is a huge mushroom cloud in America before the November mid-term election then I will blame the Bush Pigs!!! Why? Because they have the motivation, the drive, and the need to stay in power because they have too much to hide from the American people. Desperate men always take desperate measures.

Pigs.
KayInMaine Homepage 10.21.06 - 8:10 am #

And back to what KayInMaine mentioned about the 'silent ships' in the Pacific...has anyone seen Cheney lately? With the real potential for an October Surprise, we should find out where Darth is hiding & what he may be plotting!!
He won't give up his reign of terror without a fight!!!
kladinvt 10.21.06 - 8:37 am #
With the report that North Korea has 'silent ships' that could attack us from our oceans, it just seems made up to me and is being put out there by the Dick and others to give the illusion that this country can get us. This just seems weird to me. I wondered this morning if Cheney could be up to something no good and is putting this out there so Americans will blame North Korea if a mushroom cloud appears over a major city in our country. If it happens it won't be launched from the ocean via our own submarines. It could be launched from our own country's soil.

Dick Cheney and his Shadow Government that he set up the morning of 9/11/01 I believe is still in existance. I believe he is in cahoots with the CIA and this is why he had Bush out front begging the Congress to continue the torture against people who they've deemed as enemy combatants.

The Bush Pigs want to remain in control after November and if they don't, I bet they will attack us worse than what happened on 9/11/01 to prove to Americans that voting the democrats in was a vote for an attack! They need to remain in control because they have way too much to hide from the American people. They've schemed for years and it would be a death sentence for them if Americans knew exactly what they've been doing.

Remember, the Ft. Meade building containing highly classified information just burned. It's been reported that the information was kept in fire-proof containers, but it's so funny how reporters and others can't get near anyone to confirm this!!

The Slimey Pigs are scheming and are finding ways to protect themselves because they're nervous. They're nervous that THEIR enemy will come after them and they will do anything to squash our voices.

What do you think?

A very suspicious fire at the Ft. Meade complex...

...today makes me wonder if it was intentionally set by those who are close to the Bush Regime, especially with the November mid-term election coming up. Destroying the evidence of their crimes before the Patriots come after them holding torches and demanding transparency after the democrats take control of the House & Senate as a result of the election? Hmmmm...could be.

Funny, one would think that after a 6-alarm fire at one of our military bases that the 'liberal media' would be all over this story! Nope, just a reference to it here and there and no extensive coverage. In fact, what is so weird about this fire is that officials at the scene said the fire most likely started on the roof of the building. Huh, the roof. To me, when a floor collapses from fire it's usually the result of a fire beneath the floor, but apparently in Bush's world, fires started on the roof or high on the floors of a building, the whole building will come crashing down. Interesting!!!

From the article:

At a news conference last night, Col. Peterson said part of the roof of the three-story building collapsed onto a lower floor before the fire was contained. Efforts to contain the flames were complicated by strong winds.

"We don't really know the cause. We just know it started on the roof of the structure," he said. He added that minor construction was under way in the area of the roof where the fire started.
Apparently anyone who would normally be available to talk about this fire was strangely unavailable to make comments about the fire. Again, from the article:

Jennifer Downing, a Fort Meade spokesman, would only confirm a fire was burning at 4554 Llewellyn Ave., deep inside the west county Army post. She directed calls to a spokesman with the Army's Criminal Investigation Division, who did not respond to two telephone messages.
(...)

Fort Meade's fire chief also did not return calls for comment. Later, a public affairs officer told The Capital to file a Freedom of Information Act request for information.
Oh and then it gets real interesting....kind of reminds me how the Pentagon responded the morning of 9/11 when the "airplane" hit their building:

Army CID representatives forced a reporter and photographer from The Capital to leave the base about 30 minutes after they were allowed in. Officials told the photographer to erase all photos from his digital camera, and started ordering dozens of onlookers to clear the scene by about 5 p.m.
To me, this tells me that they don't want pictures because the lie the military/government is coming up with right now as you read this won't be able to be checked with existing photos of the actual fire site! Yup, LET THE COVERUP BEGIN.

Why the coverup? Oh yes, I forgot to add this part. The building that caught fire today at Ft. Meade contained highly sensitive data and information of the intelligence kind. Remember building #7 at the WTC site that was pulled by demolition a few days after 9/11 occurred and one of which hadn't sustained the type of damage to warrant that? Well, building #7 also contained highly secretive information that the feds could have used to prove cases against those connected to 9/11 and on Wall Street! Wow!

Spit.

Will there ever be a time I can trust my government? Nope. I can't trust them until after their corrupt, lying, asses are out!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat Tillman's brother writes a letter......

Spread this letter to all blogs, get it out everywhere, before November 7th.

This letter is BY the brother of Pat Tillman. Kevin Tillman joined the Army with his brother Pat in 2002, and they served together in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pat was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004. Kevin, who was discharged in 2005, has written a powerful, must-read document.

It is Pat’s birthday on November 6, and elections are the day after. It gets me thinking about a conversation I had with Pat before we joined the military. He spoke about the risks with signing the papers. How once we committed, we were at the mercy of the American leadership and the American people. How we could be thrown in a direction not of our volition. How fighting as a soldier would leave us without a voice… until we get out.

Much has happened since we handed over our voice:

Somehow we were sent to invade a nation because it was a direct threat to the American people, or to the world, or harbored terrorists, or was involved in the September 11 attacks, or received weapons-grade uranium from Niger, or had mobile weapons labs, or WMD, or had a need to be liberated, or we needed to establish a democracy, or stop an insurgency, or stop a civil war we created that can’t be called a civil war even though it is. Something like that.

Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is.

Somehow our elected leaders were subverting international law and humanity by setting up secret prisons around the world, secretly kidnapping people, secretly holding them indefinitely, secretly not charging them with anything, secretly torturing them. Somehow that overt policy of torture became the fault of a few “bad apples” in the military.

Somehow back at home, support for the soldiers meant having a five-year-old kindergartener scribble a picture with crayons and send it overseas, or slapping stickers on cars, or lobbying Congress for an extra pad in a helmet. It’s interesting that a soldier on his third or fourth tour should care about a drawing from a five-year-old; or a faded sticker on a car as his friends die around him; or an extra pad in a helmet, as if it will protect him when an IED throws his vehicle 50 feet into the air as his body comes apart and his skin melts to the seat.

Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes.

Somehow American leadership, whose only credit is lying to its people and illegally invading a nation, has been allowed to steal the courage, virtue and honor of its soldiers on the ground.

Somehow those afraid to fight an illegal invasion decades ago are allowed to send soldiers to die for an illegal invasion they started.

Somehow faking character, virtue and strength is tolerated.

Somehow profiting from tragedy and horror is tolerated.

Somehow the death of tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people is tolerated.

Somehow subversion of the Bill of Rights and The Constitution is tolerated.

Somehow suspension of Habeas Corpus is supposed to keep this country safe.

Somehow torture is tolerated.

Somehow lying is tolerated.

Somehow reason is being discarded for faith, dogma, and nonsense.

Somehow American leadership managed to create a more dangerous world.

Somehow a narrative is more important than reality.

Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is.

Somehow the most reasonable, trusted and respected country in the world has become one of the most irrational, belligerent, feared, and distrusted countries in the world.

Somehow being politically informed, diligent, and skeptical has been replaced by apathy through active ignorance.

Somehow the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country.

Somehow this is tolerated.

Somehow nobody is accountable for this.

In a democracy, the policy of the leaders is the policy of the people. So don’t be shocked when our grandkids bury much of this generation as traitors to the nation, to the world and to humanity. Most likely, they will come to know that “somehow” was nurtured by fear, insecurity and indifference, leaving the country vulnerable to unchecked, unchallenged parasites.

Luckily this country is still a democracy. People still have a voice. People still can take action. It can start after Pat’s birthday.

Brother and Friend of Pat Tillman,

Kevin Tillman

If your committee is under investigation...

....according to the GOP, just fire the investigators!!!

From Muckraker's site:

CQ: Facing Fed Probe, House GOP Spending Chief Axes Investigative Staff

By Justin Rood - October 19, 2006, 7:11 PM

My goodness. As TPMm readers know well, House Appropriations chairman Jerry Lewis (R-CA) is under federal investigation for possible improprieties in how he oversaw Congress' spending of $900 billion annually. Yesterday, we reported that Lewis had dropped nearly $800,000 in legal fees to defend himself against the probe.

This evening, Congressional Quarterly reports (sub. req.) that in a round of calls Monday evening, Lewis fired 60 investigators who had worked for his committee rooting out fraud, waste and abuse, effective immediately. As in, don't bother coming in on Tuesday.

The investigators were contract workers, brought on to handle the extraordinary level of fraud investigations facing the panel. Sixteen permanent investigative staff are staying on, according to CQ. More:

Lewis’ decision “has in fact stalled all of the investigations on the staff,” said one of the contractors, a former FBI agent, who asked not to be identified. “This eviscerates the investigatory function. There is little if any ability to do any oversight now.”
. . .

“In effect, no investigative function is going to be done,” said the contractor, who called the decision “misguided.”

“This staff has saved billions and billions of dollars, we’ve turned up malfeasance and misfeasance,” the contractor said. “It’s results justify the expense of the staff. I have no idea why the chairman would do this.”

Lewis' spokesman, John Scofield, told CQ that such complaints were "sour grapes," and assured the publication that "there is nothing sinister going on."

"This staff has saved billions and billions of dollars"........... uh huh, you lying stinking filthy Pig.

Is Bush preparing to escape America....

...after the 2006 mid-term election or after 2008? He has bought over 90,000 acres of land in Paraguay and it does appear that the warmongering, chickenhawk, war crimes fascist Pig is doing just that!!!

Pig. Spit.

Let the truth be told!

Football stadiums under a terror threat?

Huh. Karl Rove is working overtime, isn't he? If an attack does happen at one of our country's big stadiums, I'm blaming Rove. That's how bad the GOP wants to win. They would literally attack Americans to hault the elections, especially now, since the democrats are kicking ass in every poll across the country! The End.

Threat of Dirty Bombs Aimed Against NFL Stadiums

Oct 18, 2006 05:50 PM EDT

Homeland Security urges fans to continue with plans to attend football games this weekend.

A warning is issued to the NFL about a potential terror threat involving games being played this weekend. CNN and Sports Illustrated are reporting this story.

The Department of Homeland Security alerted the NFL and several football teams and stadiums about a warning posted on an Islamic website on October 12th.

That warning indicating football games in seven U.S. cities this Sunday are being targeted for a terror attack involving a radiological dirty bomb.

Those seven cities include New York, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Cleveland, Oakland, and Seattle.

Homeland Security says it does not have reason to believe the threat is credible, and says it alerted the involved teams and stadiums out of what it calls an "abundance of caution."

Homeland Security urges fans to continue with plans to attend those games this weekend.

The FBI is also expressing doubt about the credibility of the threat. However, CNN is reporting some stadiums are already planning stepped up security for games this Sunday.

We will bring you more information as we get it.

Mark Foley is a liar...

...and this is why he has a "R" after his name and not a "D".

Mark Foley's new attorney (apparently his other attorney wasn't as devious as this one, so he fired him) came out today to say that Foley will be releasing the name of the priest who molested him years ago (not sure if this priest was a junior high priest, a high school priest or a college priest...or even a priest at all at this point...for all we know Mark Foley molested himself in front of a mirror). Well, the name has been released to the Diosese, but guess what folks? The name of the priest is of one who NO LONGER LIVES IN THE UNITED STATES, so therefore, even if Foley's allegations are true......NO ONE IN THE LEGAL FIELD HERE IN AMERICA CAN DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THE PRIEST LIVES OUTSIDE U.S. JURISDICTION.

Who wants to bet Foley is lying (of course, we all know that) or this "priest" ends up not being alive too!!!!

One thing is for sure, when the republicans lie......they go all out! It never ends with these people and I can assure you, it won't get any better either. They're so used to lying, deceiving, and distorting the truth that the one moment they tell the truth people will LAUGH OUT LOUD, point at them, and then punch them in the face.

If you're not voting for the democratic candidate on your ballot in November, then you have reassured my suspicions that the republican party has the most idiotic, moronic, and completely ignorant base in the history of our country. The End.

President Bill Clinton spoke...

...at Georgetown University today to rally democrats. I wasn't able to watch the whole speech, which aired on MSNBC live, but did manage to hear some of it. One part of his speech hit home for me and it's not surprising whenever this man speaks I usually do walk away with a new perspective because he makes me think.

Today he was telling a story from when he was in school. Clinton's science teacher said to the class years ago that most of the kids taking this course will not remember much about what was being taught, but at the very least, he wanted the kids to remember one thing while taking the class. The teacher told the kids that when he gets up in the morning, he washes his face and then shaves and when he's done he tells his reflection in the mirror that he is beautiful. After a little bit of laughter in the Georgetown audience, Bill Clinton said, "...and by the end of the semester I thought he was beautiful too".

What Bill Clinton was saying is need to be telling ourselves we're beautiful and by doing so, the republicans will see us as beautiful too and won't feel so apt to call us 'ugly', which is really a reflection of the way they feel about themselves. Oh my, that is good, but as of right now, I can find a whole lot of beauty within myself, but the problem is I don't give a flying rat's ass what the republicans think about me or my party. Yes, Bill, I should give this a try. I know this but I can't.

Clinton's story is a good one, has a great lesson, and it is something that I will pass onto my son. Politically at this point, I don't have the energy or the stamina or even the passion to be beautiful in front of the republicans. Why? Because it's the republican party who has divided this nation. It's the republicans who stated, "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists", and have accused me of being a traitor to this country along with others because we are not a loyal supporter of Bush and his policies. It's the republican party who is in control of this country and has the power to change. However, it's the republicans who made it very clear they weren't going to change the dialogue in this country when their supporters in civilian life, on the radio, and on the t.v. were calling us traitors. The dialogue since then on their side of the political coin has not been beautiful. It's been ugly.

So Bill, as much as I love you and respect you, I can't be beautiful at this time. I have a 'war' to fight in my country and there are many people like myself who want to get dirty and fight hard for this country. See? I listened to your words, but your words have come too late. Thanks though. Your story will be near my heart when I can look through my front door and see my country and party for what it truly is: one that is humane, one that is patriotic in the positive sense and not made up of nationalists, and one that is kind, loving, and accepting. Until then, I will remain ugly and dirty fighting the good fight!!!!

Today is the day people! Say goodbye to Habaes Corpus!

Yup, today's the day the TRAITOR IN THE WHITE HOUSE signs the Military Commissions Act which will give him heavenly powers to detain anyone he wants who he feels is an enemy combatant and which will take all rights away. Torture will be the key to Bush's success too! Oh yes, he'll have the power to detain, to torture, to keep indefinately (could be forever if he feels like it), and throughtout all of it, the person(2) will have no right to an attorney or a fair trial. Any information obtained through torture will be welcomed. Oh, and if the Decider says, "You know, I heard this guy had been conspiring against the United States. Yeah, his neighbor told me that", well, then the Decider's words can be used as HEARSAY EVIDENCE at the fake trial that will find the person guilty no matter what!

What will constitute an enemy combatant? Who the hell knows but the Decider will determine that!!! Knowing that a guy who used to blow up frogs for fun, well, I'm sure part of his fun will be choosing these very special people to be the first.

No more Habaeus Corpus for Americans who are labeled an enemy. You're either will Bush or you're with the terrorists and if you're not with Bush then you are DEFINATELY a terrorist!!!

I don't have a link at the minute, but I woke up so angry this morning, that I don't even care if I have a link or not. Call me an enemy combatant Dear Leader for not!!!!

I hate him.

Spit. Kick to Bush's face. Kick to his Sheep's face. Spit. Punch!!!

Okay, now that I've had time to think clearly, here's a good write up from FindLaw that talks about why this Terror Bill is not good for Americans or America.

30 countries getting close to

...obtaining nukes. Oh boy.

From the article above:

Other nations, including Australia, Argentina and South Africa, have recently announced that they are considering developing enrichment programs to be able to sell fuel to states that want to generate electricity with nuclear reactors.

Canada, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Taiwan, Spain, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania are among nations that either have the means to produce weapons-grade uranium if they chose, could quickly build such technology, or could use plutonium waste for weaponization. All are committed non-nuclear weapons states, and no one has suggested they want to use their programs for arms.

Japan also says it has no plans to develop atomic weapons, but it could make them at short notice by processing tons of plutonium left over from running its nuclear reactors. South Korea also has spent reactor fuel and was found a few years ago to have conducted small-scale secret experiments on making highly enriched uranium that would be usable in warheads.
Okay, those countries don't seem too bad, especially if Bush doesn't piss one of them off in the next two years if he makes it that far, but what about some of these countries:

Other countries considering developing nuclear programs in the near future are Egypt, Bangladesh, Ghana, Indonesia, Jordan, Namibia, Moldova, Nigeria, Poland, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and Yemen, U.N. officials say.
Not so good, but again, whoever was our friend yesterday, our relationship with them has been tarnished by the idiot in the White House. They've ignored North Korea and Iran for years now and during that time both countries have actively pursued nuclear weapons technology. I find it really interesting that 30 other countries are now deciding to get into the nuclear weapons clubs. Could it be that they're all afraid of us and don't see us as their allies anymore? Maybe these countries are nervous because they're soveriegn and can't trust the bullies in the White House to NOT attack them!!!

Hell, if I was in Nigeria and was sitting atop a gold mine, I too would want to protect myself from the American leaders, you know, leaders who don't give a flying rat's ass of my countries status!!!

My friend Linda...

...has beat breast cancer! Here she is at the Breast Cancer Awareness walk this past weekend in Portland. Beautiful & radiant, huh? Glad you're still with us Linda!!!

The Snake Head of the GOP...

...Ken Mehlman has had more ties to Jack Abramoff than originally thought. Pig.

From the LA Times:

By Peter Wallsten, Times Staff Writer
October 15, 2006

WASHINGTON — For five years, Allen Stayman wondered who ordered his removal from a State Department job negotiating agreements with tiny Pacific island nations — even when his own bosses wanted him to stay.

Now he knows.

Newly disclosed e-mails suggest that the ax fell after intervention by one of the highest officials at the White House: Ken Mehlman, on behalf of one of the most influential lobbyists in town, Jack Abramoff.

The e-mails show that Abramoff, whose client list included the Northern Mariana Islands, had long opposed Stayman's work advocating labor changes in that U.S. commonwealth, and considered what his lobbying team called the "Stayman project" a high priority.

"Mehlman said he would get him fired," an Abramoff associate wrote after meeting with Mehlman, who was then White House political director.

The exchange illustrates how, more than two years after the corruption scandal surrounding the now-disgraced Abramoff came to light, people are still learning the extent of the lobbyist's ability to pull the levers of power in Washington. The latest revelations provide more detail than the Bush administration has acknowledged about how Abramoff and his team reached into high levels of the White House, not just Capitol Hill, which has been the main focus of the influence-peddling investigation.

The e-mails, disclosed as part of a report by the House Government Reform Committee, show how Abramoff manipulated the system through officials such as Mehlman, now the chairman of the Republican National Committee. Doing so, Abramoff directed government appointments, influenced policy decisions and won White House endorsements for political candidates — all in the service of his clients.

The report found more than 400 lobbying contacts between Abramoff's team and the White House.

Quote of the day....

Jack Murtha said this in his opinion piece in the The Washington recently:

"It's all baseless name-calling, and it's all wrong...Unless, of course, being a Defeatocrat means taking a good hard look at the administration's Iraq policy and determining that it's a failure...In that case, count me in. Because Democrats recognize that we're headed for a far greater disaster in Iraq if we don't change course - and soon. This is not defeatism. This is realism."
This quote reminds me of this famous quote from years ago:

President John F. Kennedy on being a liberal...

"I believe in human dignity as the source of national purpose, in human liberty as the source of national action, in the human heart as the source of national compassion, and in the human mind as the source of our invention and our ideas. It is, I believe, the faith in our fellow citizens as individuals and as people that lies at the heart of the liberal faith. For liberalism is not so much a party creed or set of fixed platform promises as it is an attitude of mind and heart, a faith in man's ability through the experiences of his reason and judgment to increase for himself and his fellow men the amount of justice and freedom and brotherhood which all human life deserves

I believe also in the United States of America, in the promise that it contains and has contained throughout our history of producing a society so abundant and creative and so free and responsible that it cannot only fulfill the aspirations of its citizens, but serve equally well as a beacon for all mankind. I do not believe in a superstate. I see no magic in tax dollars which are sent to Washington and then returned. I abhor the waste and incompetence of large-scale federal bureaucracies in this administration as well as in others. I do not favor state compulsion when voluntary individual effort can do the job and do it well. But I believe in a government which acts, which exercises its full powers and full responsibilities. Government is an art and a precious obligation; and when it has a job to do, I believe it should do it. And this requires not only great ends but that we propose concrete means of achieving them.

Our responsibility is not discharged by announcement of virtuous ends. Our responsibility is to achieve these objectives with social invention, with political skill, and executive vigor. I believe for these reasons that liberalism is our best and only hope in the world today. For the liberal society is a free society, and it is at the same time and for that reason a strong society. Its strength is drawn from the will of free people committed to great ends and peacefully striving to meet them. Only liberalism, in short, can repair our national power, restore our national purpose, and liberate our national energies.

What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then the record of this party and its members demonstrate that we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

President John Fitzgerald Kennedy

What is up with the Saddam Hussein trial?

It's being reported that the new judge in the case has decided to render a verdict against Saddam Hussein in three weeks and will be issuing sentences as well at that time. Why three weeks? Is the judge coinciding this trial with the mid-term election here in November? I just find it to be a little strange.

Saddam Hussein is on trial now for crimes against humanity against 148 Kurds back in the 1980's. A hundred and forty eight people were killed and Saddam Hussein deserved to have his country invaded by George W. Bush on nothing but a pack of lies? What else was happening during the 1980's? Oh yeah, that's right. The Iran/Iraq war was happening during this time and for the past 6 years (and during the 1990's) we heard the GOPers of this country say that Saddam Hussein was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands. Hundreds of thousands? Where is the proof that the mass graves found in Iraq are not the result of this 8 year war? Where is the proof that Saddam Hussein systematically killed these people?

I believe Saddam Hussein did kill the 148 Kurds after they rose up against him (and he used the chemical weapons that Reagan/Bush Sr. gave him during that time too), but don't you think if the right wingers of our country, who have destroyed Hussein's country and who have taken him out of power, were really doing this because he slaughtered hundreds of thousands, don't you think he should be on trial for that...and not for the 148? I do. Not that I think Saddam Hussein is the best thing since sliced bread, but I think if America wants to look like a rational country, I think it would look better if Saddam Hussein was facing a death sentence because he murdered hundreds of thousands of people and not just 148!!

( Jim Jones brainwashed 900 people to kill themselves, the Green River killer murdered 49 prostitutes, and Ted Bundy it is suspected that he murdered in cold blood over 100 women......horrific crimes, yes, but killing 300-500,000 is MUCH MUCH WORSE and is war crimes or crimes against humanity however you want to label it!)

My point is...I hope the Bush Pigs haven't murdered over 600,000 Iraqis after illegally invading their country because Saddam Hussein gassed 148 Kurds and they're letting the 'hundreds of thousands' that Saddam is believed to have murdered fly. It doesn't make sense to me and now that the judge seems to be planning the end of this trial around the same time Americans will be heading to the polls, it makes my blood boil and it makes me think the whole trial is just a charade.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed once again. If Saddam did indeed murder hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, I want real proof of it. I don't want to see pictures of graves along side roads or in dumps. I want to see scientific research concluding that the people in those graves died of either war type injuries or by execution as the right wingers have exclaimed Saddam did.

The Iraqis don't bury their dead like we bury our dead. What if we learned that these mass graves are just cemetaries and not areas where crimes against humanity were committed?

Just a thought...

Israeli president has been accused of rape...

...and since he's been president of the country since 2000, you know what that means in Bush's (and Israel's) world! He'll get away with it, he won't step down from his position out of integrity, and he'll probably get a very high position in the Bush Regime if he does resign. Spit. It will be a dream come true for the president of Israel if Bush and Hastert both show up on Monday to support him!

What is wrong with men like this? If they're in a position of assumed power and even if it is a ceremonial position with really no power at all, men like President Moshe Katsav feel that anyone below them are nothing but their freaking toys! What or who is giving them the right to do whatever they want with their freaking pants down, off or on?

For crying out loud is there a universal ethics class that people like President Moshe Katsav, Representative Mark Foley (GOP pervert who can't stop sexually harrassing 16 year old boys), and Represenative Jim Kolbe, R-AZ (who likes to take 17 year old boys camping) can take to teach them how to act in a civilized manner and how to treat those who look up to them with respect?!!?

Note to the right wing perverts of the planet: For the love of Banana Sandwiches, will all of you please keep your hands to yourself and if you can't......will you please get some help?!!? Jees.

Senator Arlen Spector's staff member is...

...under investigation by the FBI. Jesus, does it ever end with these people!!!!

Vicki Siegel Herson, who is currently working for Arlen Spector as the special projects coordinator, is under investigation for earmarking money that lined the pockets of her husband's lobbying firm. Oh for the love of Spaghetti Sandwiches...

From the article above:

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Arlen Specter has acknowledged that the FBI is investigating whether one of his staffers directed millions of dollars in federal money toward companies that were clients of her husband's lobbying firm.

The Pennsylvania Republican this week released a copy of an FBI letter, sent to him this summer, that asks for help with a probe into "allegations of possible criminal misconduct" by Vicki Siegel Herson, who currently works as the senator's special projects coordinator.

In February, USA Today reported that Mr. Specter's office was instrumental in getting almost $50 million in projects for several clients of a Washington-based lobbying firm, American Defense International, between 2002 and 2005. The firm's president, Michael Herson, is the husband of Ms. Siegel Herson. Up until last year, she handled Mr. Specter's work for the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Have we had enough of the corruption yet? I have!

Shocking! Crime is up in our country under the Bush Regime

Who would have thunk it? Our nation under the Bush Regime, you know, the guys who say they are the reflection of honesty, integrity, and of moral values, is now leading us into a crime frenzy here at home. Wow? Completely shocking...I guess all those wars, signing statements by the president saying he doesn't have to abide by any law that he signs, and a dreadful economy that the president and his Cabal doesn't want to admit to has had an adverse reaction to the people of our country.

According to the police chiefs of our country, violent crime is happening now at an "alarming pace". From the article above:

Although the hard facts echo earlier statistics from the FBI, what is striking are the anecdotes from the police chiefs and mayors. They say a new "culture of violence," an "alarming element of viciousness," is now attached to many violent crimes.

In this culture, the report explains, "arguments over seemingly minor issues escalate to the retaliatory murder of additional people." In Trenton, N.J., for instance, an argument between two girls escalated into seven separate shootings over 24 hours. One chief said he's frustrated with homicides in his city, and noted that they seem to be committed without any apparent motive.

"They occur for no apparent rhyme or reason. They come up over the smallest issue," Richmond, Calif., Police Chief Chris Magnus is quoted as saying.
School shootings, Amish girls being blown away, and a whole family murdered execution style because an asshole wanted their vehicle. The police chiefs of this country say that many of these crimes can be blamed on rap music or movies that make gangsters look powerful. Though some of the crime can be atributed to this, but I think it has more do with this:

The report finds that the combination of guns and youth is the major contributor to the surge in violent crime. Many police chiefs expressed alarm about the easy availability of guns and are worried about legislation pending in Congress that would restrict the federal ATF from sharing gun-tracing information with local police, making it harder to track down the guns used in crimes.
The biggest reason in addition to guns being available to our young people could be that our police across the nation don't have the money to secure themselves and their districts. Our police are there to protect us and if they're understaffed crime can escalate.

Some police chiefs also complained that homeland security and the dollars spent to fight terrorism since 9/11 have become, as one put it, the "monster that ate criminal justice." They are frustrated because they believe the nation's priorities are sacrificing hometown security for homeland security. They believe they can be better partners for homeland security if they're not overwhelmed by problems on their own streets.
Of course, Homeland Security has no idea what they're doing when it comes to combatting terrorism, let alone, violent crime (which is the same thing but try telling them that!). In July of this year, their 'terror target list' was shown to the public and on it was these 'targets of terrorism': "Old MacDonald’s Petting Zoo, the Amish Country Popcorn factory, the Mule Day Parade, the Sweetwater Flea Market". And our police wonder why crime is up! Those in charge above them in the security field are lunatics!!!

If I'm not mistaken, under Bill Clinton, violent crime and most crimes on every level went down. Why? Because the poor and the needy in this country were doing much better than they are today. Of course, there was crime back then and there will always be crime, but what is disgusting is crime is becoming more vicious and sadistic when our nation is being led by a madman who thinks he's a good example to the youngsters of our nation. He's wrong....again! Our nation always reflects our leaders and right now with crime escalating at the pace it is...is proof of who Bush and his Cabal truly are!!!

A House of Lies

Senator John Kerry told an audience in New Hampshire that the Republicans have turned Washington into a "House of Lies."

According to a Raw Story, Kerry said the Republican claims involving Iraq, Mark Foley and North Korea are " lies, lies, lies."

Kerry said what we have in Washington is a "House of Lies" and in November we need to "clean house."

Kerry says the claims that the U.S is making progress in Iraq, the Mark Foley claims that it is a Democratic ploy, from a party that constantly preaches morality, the Katrina fiasco and countless other lies that are constantly being told by the Republicans.

Kerry is saying things that he and others should have been saying for years, but were somewhat reluctant to take Bush on before.

Bush's Washington is nothing but a "House of Lies. The November election may clean out part of this "House Built On Lies."

This "House of Lies" will never be thoroughly cleansed until the main occupant moves out of the peoples house in January 2009.

How far will the pro-war fascists go in their loyalty?

Ever since 9/11/01, the one thing that has always bothered me is the reaction of those Americans who are for the Iraq war. Their undying loyalty to the Bush Regime no matter what they do including choosing to start a war against a country that has nothing to do with 9/11, which has now amounted to an illegal occupation, a quagmire and a civil war all wrapped up into one, they will label anyone who does not agree with their war and the reasons for it as traitors.

They'll go to great lengths too to express it too. Quite a few people in this country have been fired because they have bumper stickers on their car that doesn't support Bush and voices outrage against the Iraq war. Others have had their car vandalized, some have been arrested for protesting the war, and if you're the mother of a soldier who is currently alive and serving in Iraq and you speak out, this is what happens to you:
ST. PAUL (Oct. 14) - A Duluth mother who has been outspoken against the war
in Iraq and against her son's deployment there said she was shocked when a
letter she had sent to him came back with the word "DECEASED" stamped on it.
[emit}
"It's very upsetting, and somebody obviously did it," Najbar said.
"I think this is somebody's cruel little joke."

Joan Najbar's son is alive and is fighting on the battlefield right now as you read this.

Najbar is an outspoken mother against the Iraq war, but yet, has a son over there fighting it, which to me is about as American as one can get! As an American, she has a freaking right to speak out against this freaking atrocious war and doesn't deserve to be treated like this. Only the Bush supporters would go to great lengths to harrass a mother like this. She's not a traitor or a treasonist who is plotting to overthrow the American government or a radical who is purposing to burn down the White House to make her case against this president and his decisions. Nope, she's a mother of a soldier who is now sacrificing. What is she sacrificing that other Mother's aren't? She has a child in a war/occupation who at anytime could come home via the cargo department of a commercial airliner (spit...that still makes me so angry) because he has died while fighting for her right to speak (which is what Bush has said our soldiers are fighting for....for us to keep our rights) and she now is receiving harrassingly cruel documents where her safety could be in jeapordy because of those who support this war! It's so ludicrous!!!

The Minnesota National Guard has said that it is not normal procedure to stamp anything that goes to the family of a deceased soldier to includes the word "deceased" on it.
Najbar's son is still alive, however, so whoever did send this (the article linked above does not explain if the envelope was addressed from the Minnesota National Guard) knew she was against the war and knew that her son was over there.

Stories like this makes my blood boil, because I don't like living in America if it is turning into a country like this. It's supposed to be the 'land of the free' not the 'land of the suppressed'. If a soldier's mother can't protest the war without being harrassed by the very people who have recruited her son to the battlefield because they don't agree with her, then there is something seriously wrong with the mentality of our country and of those who support the fascist Pigs and who love this war! If our soldiers are fighting for our freedoms like Bush is always stating, well then, act like they are for crying out loud.

This is my final answer....

I am keeping my blog this color with this layout and that's my final answer as far as I can tell or as far as I can see and if I change my mind AGAIN anytime soon will you please smack me across my face so I hit the ground to keep me from typing!!!

I've changed it again, because originally, the black background was hard on my reader's eyes (and my own!) and my son thought it looked creepy and scary. I then changed it to dark grey and added a sidebar picture of Paul Revere, but I found the sidebar picture to be too much of a focus, which made it difficult to concentrate on the substance of the posts. THEN, I took the picture off and oooohhh'd and awwwww'd for 33 minutes and then decided to go color shopping and ended up with this one. I find it to be much kinder and gentler to the eyes and I hope you do too.

I think I'm done and over with my 'manic template color addiction' for now. I think. Again, as far as I can see and as far as I can tell, I'm done with changing the background. I truly am. I just know it. I did find a beautiful color called....

Oh God. :-)

Make up your minds, GOP! Which is it!!! Both?

Where Is The Victory

The Commission formed to access the Iraq war and recommend a new course has ruled out Victory In Iraq.

The 10 member panel, headed by former Secretary of State James Baker, is considering 2 options to recommend to the President.

The first option is "Stability First" and the second option is "Redeploy and and Contain." These assessments were obtained from the commission by the New York Sun.

The commission has ruled out making minor fixes in the current Bush strategy, which Bush claims he is always doing.

The commission is instead going to recommend 2 policies that will contradict the Bush rhetoric of establishing democracy in the Mideast. The main focus will be to stabalize Baghdad.

After thousands of US military and Iraqi civilian deaths, billions of US tax dollars and thousands of US and Iraqi's seriously wounded, and in many cases wounded for life, is this all the American public gets for Bush's war?

Where are all those weapons of mass destructions, where are all those roses that were supposed to be thrown at US soldiers, where are the millions of barrels of oil that was supposed to flow from Iraq to pay for this war.

Where are the Iraqi soldiers that are supposed to be "standing up so US troops can stand down."

Where is the victory that Bush and Cheney promised day, after day for the past several years.

The American reputation is ruined because of the Bush war. The US has more enemies now than ever before, the economy is barely crawling and thousands of American families are destroyed because they have lost a loved one in this pathetic war.

The Republican led Baker commission has ruled out victory in Iraq. This means the Republicans view the war as a complete failure.

Where is the Victory you promised Bush, and what has the American public gained from your war?

Iraqi TV staff members gunned down today

This is a brand new television station in Iraq and eleven of it's members were killed today in an ambush. The station has been doing some test airings, which includes some anti-American airings. Oh boy. Now, who would be upset with the members of this television station in airing stuff like that? Hmmmmm...the Americans maybe? Not sure, but here's part of the article:

About two dozen gunmen, some in police uniform, pulled up to the Shaabiya offices in civilian cars, stormed into the building and killed most of those inside, said the station's executive director, Hassan Kamil, who was not there at the time.

The gunmen fired some 100 shots, Kamil said. But survivors reported not hearing any shots and no windows were damaged, suggesting the attackers may have used silenced pistols and killed their victims at close range, he said.
Hmmmmm...it's very difficult to get a silencer here in America, but.....many Iraqis have them? Huh. Who supplies the police uniforms? Oh yeah, that's right...the Americans. Hmmmmmm.

And then this was stated in the article;

Kamil said he could not speculate on who was behind the attack and said the station had received no threats. He insisted the station had no sectarian bent and pointed out that the staff was a mixture of Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds. Nasrallah, the slain chairman, was a Shiite - a former military officer who was jailed during Saddam Hussein's rule, fled to Norway after his release and then returned after Saddam's fall.
The station was pretty much airing some national music and anti-American broadcasts, but yet, the station insists it is not trying to incite violence. Well, why would it be inciting violence when it's playing known songs and airing stuff that goes against the American occupation?! The Iraqis, no matter what side of the isle they're on do not like having their country occupied by American forces! The End.

I have no proof that Americans are orchestrating these attacks, but is it possible that someone from our side is putting out rumors so others in the area will attack for them. That is a possibility and it's very typical of war propaganda. The Bush Pigs want to stay their until 2010, so they have to keep the violence going to give the illusion that Americans are needed to keep the peace, so what better way to get what they want then to start a rumor! Here was a rumor that "surfaced" before the attack:

There were also rumors that the station was being financed by Libya. Reporters Without Borders said the militiamen may have been seeking to avenge the kidnapping of a revered Lebanese Shiite cleric, Imam Musa al-Sadr, 28 years ago, an attack often blamed on Libya. Al-Sadr is a distant uncle of Muqtada al-Sadr, head of the Mahdi Army, Iraq's most feared militia.

Kamil denied his station receives Libyan funding, saying it is still struggling to get the money to start up. But even a false rumor could be a motive for an attack.
Yeah, yeah, let's start a rumor that big bad Libya is behind the financing to piss off everyone!!!!!!!!!! Spit.

I so distrust the Bush Regime and their tactics that I'm starting to convince myself it is possible our soldiers are being told to do shit like this or are committing these atrocities. Again, I have no proof but have lots of distrust of the WH to think this way!!!!!!!!

An American has been charged with treason

Adam Gadahn, 28, who grew up in California and who converted to Islam at the age of 17 while living there, has been charged with treason by our government because of his current ties to al-Qaida.

What I find so fascinating about the whole case is that Gadahn moved to Pakistan in 1999 which was way before 9/11/01 even happened. Apparently this kid spent much of his time praying in mosques while in America during the mid to late 1990's and then in 1999, he moved to Pakistan. It's not known whether he went there to join al-Qaida or if he decided to go there under the assumption that he could continue his spiritual quest and then got caught up with al-Qaida. There are videos that surfaced after 9/11 that shows him denouncing America.

I guess what is bothering me is I don't see where he has committed treason. Yes, Gadahn is currently with one of our enemies and is denouncing us...but...he made a decision a long time ago (way before 9/11) to move overseas and practice his religion there and he doesn't seem to anxious to ever come back here from what I can see! What I'm trying to say is as Americans we can make choices for ourselves. This kid decided to convert to Islam, practiced it wholeheartedly, moved to Pakistan in 1999, has had very little, if any, contact with his American family, and is now part of a group who hates America. Is our government telling us that as Americans we can never move overseas and denounce our government especially if our intention is to never come back and live here? If he loved our country so much and still considers himself an American, don't you think he would have come back by now?

Am I being naive? Gadahn hates America and there is no law against that. There is no evidence that he has plotted against us either, except for these videos he appears on but he's talking about known al-Qaida attacks that have already happened. He's commenting about the attacks and as far as I've read there is no proof that he is part of these plots against us.

The penalty for treason is death and the only way for that to happen is if Adam Gadahn decides to come back to America to face his charges. The FBI and our government can't find him at the moment, which tells me, he doesn't want to be found, meaning...Gadahn has made his choice about which country he holds in high honor.

Definition of 'treason' from the online Merriam-Webster dictionary:

TREASON
Function: noun
Pronunciation: 'tre-z & n
Etymology: Middle English tresoun, from Old French traison, from Latin tradition-, traditio act of handing over, from tradere to hand over, betray -- more at TRAITOR
1 : the betrayal of a trust : TREACHERY
2 : the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign's family

Does Gagahn have allegiance to America at this moment or has his allegiance been for the past 11 years to Islam and the country of Pakistan? I bet if Gadahn was asked this question he would say Pakistan.

To me, Gagahn hasn't committed treason, but rather, has made some personal choices that myself and my government don't agree with, but because he started his life as an American, he had the power to make choices about his life. He's made his choice alright. Oh boy.

What do you all think about this?!!! Has he committed treason?
