Wow! The Bush Regime does negotiate with the terrorists!

Yup, you heard it hear (actually...I found the story posted on Americablog) folks. The Bush Regime has always stated that they NEVER negotiate the release of a captured citizen because they DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH THE TERRORISTS! Really? Well, then please explain why you negotiated secretly to release the Fox News journalists, then? Pretty weird that was done. (scratching head) I still think the Fox News journalist's "capture" was fake right from the start and this story is just part of the illusion created by the ChristoFascists in Washington, DC!! Yup, that's what I'm thinking.

Almost a year ago, Barbara Bush said this:

"But I really didn't hear that at all today. People came up to me all day long and said 'God bless your son,' people of different races and it was very, very moving and touching, and they felt like when he flew over that it made all the difference in their lives, so I just don't hear that." –Former First Lady Barbara Bush to CNN's Larry King, after King asked her how she felt when people said that her son "doesn't care" about race, Sept. 5, 2005

Yes Barbara...had your family been in peril that morning and the president of the United States did a fly over and waved at your while you and your family struggled to survive, I'm sure you would have been so grateful for it! Asshole. This is the woman who spawned the most Evil in our country. She is an abomination along with the rest of her brood!
Besides the November election, Karma is my other hope against these ChristoFascist Pigs. I hope Karma comes in the form of Babs driving her car and going off the road into an icey lake with no one around to save her except a small little black boy who comes to the hole in the ice after it happens and screams in delight, "Hey look! An ice fishing hole! I'm going to get my fishing pole and bait!". Yup, nothing would please me more than that. Karma....very good indeed.

Laura Bush fundraising for Mike McGavik of Washington state

Awwwww, how nice of Laura Bush to take time out of her busy schedule consisting of drinking soda served to her on a silver platter to do some stumping for Mike McGavick. McGavick is running against Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell in the upcoming November election and at this point he needs all the help he can get. Funny how the Bush Regime sent out Laura to do the leg work. Makes you wonder if she had done any research on this man before appearing today. Here's one thing she said about McGavick:
In a 10-minute address, Bush said McGavick would bring "civility and
cooperation" to the Senate from a stint as chief of staff to former Sen. Slade
Gorton and a childhood spent in Seattle. His time as CEO of Safeco gave him
"principles of efficiency and accountability" that will translate well in
Washington, D.C., Bush said.

Wow Laura, that sounds all well and good, but since you're boasting about how McGavick's "principles of efficiency and accountability" will ring well in Washington, well, I think you need to understand a few things about this man first! While there today campaigning for this man you said that Bush and McGavick have the same morals. Okay, you were correct in saying that because it seems that McGavick has a drunk driving charge in his past, so it would make sense that you make that connection. He's also been divorced, though Bush hasn't, Bush hasn't been too faithful to you over the years. Back in the 1980's Bush couldn't keep his hands off one of his male friends, who coincidentally is now Bush's Ambassador to Poland! Wow! But you're the type of woman who is okay with that and you'd be okay too if Condi was to admit publically that she's been sleeping with your husband for years, but then again, it was YOUR POLITICAL PARTY who was outraged when Clinton was cheating on his wife and YOUR PARTY thought he should be impeached over it. Uh huh. Hypocrites.

Laura Bush, who is one for education (snark, snark), also said today in the presense McGavick about Iraq's educational system, she said it is not good and she wants to see this country taking better care of their children. She wants them to be educated and is upset that Iraq never concentrated on this. Uh Laura?
Iraq has 15,000 schools and has had them for some time now! Do some research, Librarian, about where math came from!! Some are in need of repair (many need it too here in America don't forget!), of course, and some were demolished when your husband decided to start an illegal invasion and occupation of this nation, so of course those schools are not currently in surface. Thank God for the National Guard, however, who've been painting these schools for years now. Wow! That is making us so much safer isn't it, Laura? You're so on top of things!

Okay, that last paragraph had nothing to do with McGavick, but I just couldn't resist pointing out to the First Lady that she is completely a Fascist's wife who only says what she is told to say!!!! Eva Braun, Hitler's gal, was the same way. At least our Bushitler lets Laura be seen in public.

Okay, to get back to Laura's assessment of McGavick being an "efficient and accountable person", well, one thing Ms. Laura didn't take into consideration was the fact that
Mr. McGavick used to be the Chief Executive of Safeco Insurance and this company under his direction was using credit scores of customers to cancel their policies! Yeah, yeah, yeah, and not only that, this "efficient and accountable" man decided to lay off a couple thousand employees AFTER he left the company while taking $28 million with him! Yup, he'll fit in very nicely, Ms. Laura, in Washington DC if he wins in November. Why? Because he'll be surrounded by other corrupt, money hungry republicans who care more for the corporation than the employees than anytime in his whole entire life! The Pigs will be happy.
Of course, he may not get the chance if the people of Washington have their way and keep Senator Maria Cantwell in charge, who has done a fine job for the people of her state! Let's hope this is the case. Americans are tired of these right wingers who consider fraud, theiving, pilfering, driving drunk, and divorcing all moralistic values!!!

Thank you Keith Olbermann!!!

Keith Olberman of Countdown on MSNBC smacked Donald Rumsfeld down for implying that anyone who does not agree with the Bush Regime is a fascist and is appeasing the enemy! Donald Rumsfeld should be fired for being such an ass for saying the shit he does and for doing a sucky job in Iraq. If Hitler was alive today and still leading Germany, Rumsfeld would say the same thing about the people of Germany who go against the evil of Hitler! Here's what Keith Olberman wrote:
Aug. 30, 2006 8:34 p.m. ET

Feeling morally, intellectually confused?

The man who sees absolutes, where all other men see nuances and shades of meaning, is either a prophet, or a quack.

Donald H. Rumsfeld is not a prophet.

Mr. Rumsfeld’s remarkable speech to the American Legion yesterday demands the deep analysis—and the sober contemplation—of every American.

For it did not merely serve to impugn the morality or intelligence -- indeed, the loyalty -- of the majority of Americans who oppose the transient occupants of the highest offices in the land. Worse, still, it credits those same transient occupants -- our employees -- with a total omniscience; a total omniscience which neither common sense, nor this administration’s track record at home or abroad, suggests they deserve.

Dissent and disagreement with government is the life’s blood of human freedom; and not merely because it is the first roadblock against the kind of tyranny the men Mr. Rumsfeld likes to think of as “his” troops still fight, this very evening, in Iraq.

It is also essential. Because just every once in awhile it is right and the power to which it speaks, is wrong.

In a small irony, however, Mr. Rumsfeld’s speechwriter was adroit in invoking the memory of the appeasement of the Nazis. For in their time, there was another government faced with true peril—with a growing evil—powerful and remorseless.

That government, like Mr. Rumsfeld’s, had a monopoly on all the facts. It, too, had the “secret information.” It alone had the true picture of the threat. It too dismissed and insulted its critics in terms like Mr. Rumsfeld’s -- questioning their intellect and their morality.

That government was England’s, in the 1930’s.

It knew Hitler posed no true threat to Europe, let alone England.

It knew Germany was not re-arming, in violation of all treaties and accords.

It knew that the hard evidence it received, which contradicted its own policies, its own conclusions — its own omniscience -- needed to be dismissed.

The English government of Neville Chamberlain already knew the truth.

Most relevant of all — it “knew” that its staunchest critics needed to be marginalized and isolated. In fact, it portrayed the foremost of them as a blood-thirsty war-monger who was, if not truly senile, at best morally or intellectually confused.

That critic’s name was Winston Churchill.

Sadly, we have no Winston Churchills evident among us this evening. We have only Donald Rumsfelds, demonizing disagreement, the way Neville Chamberlain demonized Winston Churchill.

History — and 163 million pounds of Luftwaffe bombs over England — have taught us that all Mr. Chamberlain had was his certainty — and his own confusion. A confusion that suggested that the office can not only make the man, but that the office can also make the facts.

Thus, did Mr. Rumsfeld make an apt historical analogy.

Excepting the fact, that he has the battery plugged in backwards.

His government, absolute -- and exclusive -- in its knowledge, is not the modern version of the one which stood up to the Nazis.

It is the modern version of the government of Neville Chamberlain.

But back to today’s Omniscient ones.

That, about which Mr. Rumsfeld is confused is simply this: This is a Democracy. Still. Sometimes just barely.

And, as such, all voices count -- not just his.

Had he or his president perhaps proven any of their prior claims of omniscience — about Osama Bin Laden’s plans five years ago, about Saddam Hussein’s weapons four years ago, about Hurricane Katrina’s impact one year ago — we all might be able to swallow hard, and accept their “omniscience” as a bearable, even useful recipe, of fact, plus ego.

But, to date, this government has proved little besides its own arrogance, and its own hubris.

Mr. Rumsfeld is also personally confused, morally or intellectually, about his own standing in this matter. From Iraq to Katrina, to the entire “Fog of Fear” which continues to envelop this nation, he, Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, and their cronies have — inadvertently or intentionally — profited and benefited, both personally, and politically.

And yet he can stand up, in public, and question the morality and the intellect of those of us who dare ask just for the receipt for the Emporer’s New Clothes?

In what country was Mr. Rumsfeld raised? As a child, of whose heroism did he read? On what side of the battle for freedom did he dream one day to fight? With what country has he confused the United States of America?

The confusion we -- as its citizens— must now address, is stark and forbidding.

But variations of it have faced our forefathers, when men like Nixon and McCarthy and Curtis LeMay have darkened our skies and obscured our flag. Note -- with hope in your heart — that those earlier Americans always found their way to the light, and we can, too.

The confusion is about whether this Secretary of Defense, and this administration, are in fact now accomplishing what they claim the terrorists seek: The destruction of our freedoms, the very ones for which the same veterans Mr. Rumsfeld addressed yesterday in Salt Lake City, so valiantly fought.

And about Mr. Rumsfeld’s other main assertion, that this country faces a “new type of fascism.”

As he was correct to remind us how a government that knew everything could get everything wrong, so too was he right when he said that -- though probably not in the way he thought he meant it.

This country faces a new type of fascism - indeed.

Although I presumptuously use his sign-off each night, in feeble tribute, I have utterly no claim to the words of the exemplary journalist Edward R. Murrow.

But never in the trial of a thousand years of writing could I come close to matching how he phrased a warning to an earlier generation of us, at a time when other politicians thought they (and they alone) knew everything, and branded those who disagreed: “confused” or “immoral.”

Thus, forgive me, for reading Murrow, in full:

“We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty,” he said, in 1954. “We must remember always that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law.

“We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate, and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular.”

And so good night, and good luck.

Why hasn't Osama bin Laden been formally charged by the Justice Department?

Oh yeah, that's right. There is no evidence connecting Osama bin Laden to the September 11, 2001 attack on our nation and that is why the FBI website doesn't mention this under Osama's name and this is also why the Justice Department hasn't formally charged him! Of course, we all know that 9/11 was an inside job by our government, intelligence, and military/security forces. Funny how there were 62 incidences in our nation that required F-16s to be called into action prior to 9/11/01, but on the morning of 9/11....the only two F-16's close to the hijacked airplanes were sent out to the Atlantic Ocean!!! If you think about it, 9/11 was an easy attack. Buy airplane tickets and box cutters and then once behind the wheel of the plane just turn it around and look out the window for the targets which were massive!!! Hey, our airplanes are computerized now, so it wouldn't take much to help the attack along by assholes on the ground!

Here's some more reading on Osama bin Laden not being formally charged by our Justice Department but was charged within 3 months after the US Embassy bombings in 1999

Bush didn't have a quiet retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine

Ha ha. Poor Bush. Everywhere he goes he is protested against and even though Maine is one of those states where we give celebrities and others their much deserved privacy when they come here to visit or stay, well, that's never the case when Bush comes here! It's not only him that is despised by us Mainers. We also despise the Bush family in general and don't like the fact that the Bush family spends many months at their "vacation" spot here but only pay seasonal taxes when they should be paying much more than that! (They consider their place in Texas their official dwelling but it's nowhere near the size of what they have here in Maine, so many Mainers think they need to cough up more money to come here as much as they do)
On Saturday, about 700 protesters showed up to protest Bush's war in Iraq and to make other outrages known. He attended a family wedding but didn't go to the reception afterwards because he didn't want to disrupt it. Funny, if Bush wasn't a lightening rod to the people of this country, he could enjoy more intimate things while being president, but because Americans are onto him and his Cabal's evil ways and doings, well, he is a thorn in everyone's side and is hated!
Has our country ever witnessed any of our presidents hated and despised as much as Bush? Nope. Even Nixon had more respect here and abroad than Scrub does. Bush could change all this if he would just come clean about Iraq, but he won't. He believes everything he says and that is the problem!!!!!
So happy to see Mainers coming out to protest this madman. I couldn't attend the march, but believe me if I didn't have prior commitments on Saturday, you can bet your sweet ass that I would have gone!!!!

Katherine Harris is an insane lunatic with boobs

If Katherine Harris gets put on the ballot on September 5th by the people of Florida and if she wins in November, then the people of Florida deserve having her and are a reflection of her too! This woman is an insane lunatic and luckily for her she only has two feet to put in her mouth because she just used up both of them within the last week!
According to Katherine Harris, the biggest "lie" ever perpetrated by the forefather's of our nation was when they decided they wanted to keep the church and state separate and Ms. Katherine thinks they were only kidding and lying when they made this clear. What? You mean to tell me that our forefathers, who escaped religious persecution and tryanny in England badly wanted to make their new country a country where one religion ruled the nation and each state? That they didn't want freedom of religion but really wanted a government that would be in charge of deciding what religion would be practiced by its citizens?
She's insane!!!!
She needs to do our country a favor by taking a long walk off a short pier.
Katherine Harris also said that God chooses who leads us. Huh? Then why the hell do we hold elections then if that is the case?!! If someone knows where Harris was born, would someone please let me know if it was America because she doesn't act like she understands the history of our nation nor does she act like she understands how America works!!!!!!!
Again, she's insane and she needs to start sleeping on the double yellow line in the middle of the road from now on! In fact, anyone who agrees with her view of our nation and how it should work needs to do the same. Our country would be better off if you did.

The Kentucky plane crash

I've been watching the reports all day long about the plane crash in Kentucky and a couple of things about this crash is odd to me. First of all, I find it really strange that the pilot who has worked for Comair for years, who has piloted this type of plane for years too, and who has taken off and landed at this airport for years and decided this morning to take the short, unlit airstrip rather than the well-lit, long one! Why would he make this fatal choice today? Here are two possibilities that I have come up with today:
1) The pilot and co-pilot were drunk off their asses and had no idea what they were doing....
or,
2) This crash this morning was intentional by the pilot (a suicide perhaps?).
The cause of the crash may be neither but it just seems odd to me that a skilled pilot would make the mistake of using a runway that he knows isn't the right on! Also, there are only two runways at this airport. Two choices he had and he chose the riskier one. Weird.
I've been thinking back all day about the Egyptian pilot who INTENTIONALLY drove the commercial airplane he was piloting (Egypt Air) into the Atlantic Ocean after it had just taken off from Florida. This pilot SUICIDED THE FLIGHT and he was heard on the black box recorder saying stuff about Allah before impact.
So, with this in mind, there is a possibility that today's airplane crash was also intentional. During one of today's press conferences in Kentucky a reporter asked about the pilot being German and I thought it was an odd question. Now that I think about it, I'm wondering if the reporter was also thinking that this was a 'suicide mission'. Could be. We'll have to wait and see.

The country of Chad has kicked Chevron Oil out of it's country.

Now, why would the leader of Chad decide to kick out this wonderful American oil company? Oh yeah, that's right. All fascists Oil Maggots don't like to pay their taxes or their fair share and that is why Chad has given the oil company a 24 hour notice to get out.
What will this do to oil prices now that the country of Chad has done this? I don't understand how this market works, but I'm sure it won't be pretty.
Chad will resume to sell their oil privately on the world's market, so they can use the profits (hopefully to help the poor in it), instead of Chevron getting most of the money and not paying their fair share of taxes to the country for being able to do business there .

My own quote of the day...

Quote of the day...

"Donald Rumsfeld is still at the helm of the Department of Defense, which is absolutely outrageous. He served up our great military a huge bowl of chicken feces, and ever since then, our military and our country have been trying to turn this bowl into chicken salad. And it’s not working. " ~ General John Batiste (RET.)

If Pluto is not a planet...

...then there's no possible way Bush is a president!

Israel is insane

Of course, they're as insane as the Bush Regime, so quite frankly it's frightening the choices they make! Israel decided to cluster bomb southern Lebanon today and the experts are saying that the use of this kind of bombing within neighborhoods is against the law. But, because Israel is as insane as the Bush Regime and because neither feels any laws or sanctions apply to them...ever, well, Israel is saying that there were bad guys in those neighborhoods so that is why they had to use illegal bombs to kill them! The Regime says shit like that all the time and they say it without a shred of evidence too. Like I've been saying for the last year, Bush's doctarine to get the terrorists consists of:

DROPPING A BOMB ON A STADIUM PACKED FULL WITH 80,000 SPECTATORS, KILLING THEM ALL, AND HOPING THEY'VE KILLED THE ONE TERRORIST WHO WAS AMONGST THE CROWD!

That's it folks. Insanity, it is.

Another way that Israel & the Bush Regime are insane is that both look for opportunities to use these explosives, even though they know they're illegal. Dick Cheney & Don Rumsfeld for years have wanted to use our nukes, because in their mind they feel, what is the sense of having these powerful killers if they can't use them! They want a nuclear war and they want it in the Middle East. With Israel as insane as them, I think they'll get it.

I'm tired of it. The only people who will benefit from a nuclear war are those connected to the Bush Regime. The whole purpose of getting into Iraq was to start their agenda, which is to capture the oil to control the market, to use Iraq as the home base to launch their bombs out of, and to control the whole region (and because of the oil that is there....they'll control the world). Will you and I benefit from them doing any of this? Nope. Will Israel benefit? Nope, they're just pawns in the Regime's game. Shameful.

The white noise coming from these warmongers is insane and I'm sick of it.

It's Friday ya bastards...

...so what better way to end the week with fearful airline stories! Yes, that's right. There is nothing more that would satisfy the blood/fearlust of the Bush Regime than to have the media focus on diverted airline flights just to keep Americans fearful for the weekend! So here goes...

US Flight from Amsterdam to India contains Indians! Wow! Phew. Who knew. Glad they scared the beejesus out of the passengers just to clarify the obvious!

Of course, only a ding dong from Texas would buy a stick of dynamite as a souvenier while on vacation in Bolivia and then actually put it in his luggage! Bush hasn't made Texans more stupid. I think Bush has just brought attention to how stupid they all can be sometimes.

A Plane from England diverted to Bangor International Airport today because of a suspicious passenger name (or skin color...sometimes it's not clear nowadays) Governor Baldacci (a democrat of course) responded appropriately.

And the final fear moment today was when...

This flight was diverted because of a missing panel in the bathroom. A missing panel! Oh, now there's something to be scared about. If I find out that it was a panel of toilet paper, I'm going to scream!!!

So, it's Friday you bastards and the Bush Regime needs you to be scared so you'll worry about it throughout the weekend and won't focus on their corruption, incompetence, and warmongering!!! Besides, Bush is vacationing at the Bush family compound this weekend and he hasn't done that for two years. Yup, it seems that he would be vacationing with his family when there's a level-5 hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean right now that could head straight to the Gulf Coast!

Video of Fox News journalists released today...

...and I have to say, the video looks suspicious and weird to me.
When the breaking news bulletin hit the airwaves today and as I was walking to the t.v. to see what was going on, I had an imagine in my mind as to what I would see. I figured it would be a grainy video like we're always shown and the men would look disheveled and would look like they hadn't slept in days. Didn't happen. What I saw today was two journalists who have been in captivity now for 9 days looking fresh (not pale like some are reporting) in appearance and relaxed! Wow! Weird. What I also found striking was the way they talked with each other and to the camera. It seemed rehearsed. In fact, one of them started listing off items that the terrorists had provided for them by using his fingers to count. Seems odd that he would take the time to do that. It's almost like he was trying to remember what his line was! You'd think that if you're being told that you will die (by beheading I'm sure) if the US doesn't release ALL Muslims in their prisons, you wouldn't be in a relaxed posture and using your fingers to count all the good things your captors have provided for you!
And wasn't it odd that this new terrorist death squad group that the Palestinian government had never heard of used a brand new black cloth behind the journalists and had camera equipment that was of good quality! Wow! Is it possible that these are the "Islamofascists" that George Wingnut Bush has been talking about in recent weeks? They're the Muslims who are the big corporation owners who are using their corporations to control the countries that they reside in? Is this why they can afford the better video camera and have the snazzy backdrop? Could be!
I also thought it was odd that the kidnappers weren't in the video either holding a gun to the Fox News journalist's heads. Isn't that part of the psychological break down when you've kidnapped someone, especially when you are threatening a superpower to release prisoners? Again, I find it odd that they weren't included in this video!
I brought this topic up on Americablog to see what others thought about the video and one poster said that wouldn't it be funny if the black cloth dropped and Fox Studios was revealed behind it! Another poster also suggested that the tape did sound kind of echoey, so it's possible this whole thing was filmed in the back of a trailer truck! I just found the videotape to be really odd. It didn't have fear in it that is usually perceived or picked up on when you're watching one of these kidnapping videos. These two journalists appeared way too relaxed and if you watch them in the beginning of the video the skinny guy appears to be holding back a smile.
Because the republican party is in the toilet and because the Bush Regime wants to stay in the Middle East and is desperate to continue their wars and aggressions, it does seem plausible that these yahoos would fake a kidnapping and make up some group that no one has ever heard of to get away with it! Desperate men always take desperate measures. The Bush Regime is no exception.
Here's a still frame of the two journalists in the video:

Just a little reminder...

...per the Bush Regime, Americans must be scared every second of the day. We must never forget that the Boogeyman hides out behind trees with chemical and biological weapons and he wants to getcha. Always bring your duct tape and plastic with you wherever you go. You must be vigilant against these fake monsters created by the Bush Regime. You must never waiver from it either. Remember: Duct tape will keep you safe and buying it helps 3M stock.
What Boogeyman will appear out of nowhere this week? Keep your eyes open for him 'cause he's coming to get you! The Bush Regime is in desperate times right now, so be prepared!!!!!

I hope the republican plan for Connecticut backfires on them

The republicans are now backing Joe Lieberman on the Independent ticket for November and are not backing the actual republican candidate for that race. I find that very interesting. It makes you wonder if the people of Connecticut are smart enough to realize that a vote for Joe Lieberman will be a vote for the republican party. Of course, we did witness the great people of Connecticut vote in Ned Lamont the liberal candidate to be on the ticket in November as the democratic candidate. So, it's promising to me that the citizens of the state will understand what the republicans are doing and it is my hope that the republican plan backfires!
Ned Lamont needs to drive home the point to the voters that voting for Joe is a vote for the GOP. And what does GOP stand for? Got Our Problems. Got Our Petroleum. Got Our People (confused). Got Our Patsy. Got Our Prayers (and nothing else to run on). Let's hope Connecticut votes the reality of the situation and votes in Lamont in November to represent their state. He will represent them well and he already is.

Bush can take his surveillance program and shove it up...

...his ass. A judge has ruled that his NSA surveillance program is un-Constitutional and it must stop immediately. I agree, but Bush doesn't. Nope, he thinks he is the King of America and won't listen to what the court has to say. He and his criminals in the Justice Department are now appealing the judge's ruling and at some point it will go to the right wing US Supreme Court to make the final ruling. When it gets there, let's hope Justice Kennedy is holding a copy of the constitution and Bill of Rights in his hand when he is forming his opinion.
A Constitutional crisis would not be happening today if Bush back in early 2001 (yes, he was spying on Americans way before 9/11/01 and this is why many are outraged because he keeps saying it's part of the 'waronterra') had instructed his minions below him to go to the FISA Court first to obtain warrants to keep the surveillance in check with the American people (who pay the salaries of the people doing this, I may add). This Court is set up to cater to the needs of our government...not the opposite. There's only been a handful of times where the Court would not allow the government to spy and warrants weren't issued. Thousands and thousands of times FISA has given a green light to all Administrations since 1978 when it was originally set up to do what they need to do to protect us. But this system came to a halt under the Bush Regime. These assholes didn't want no court telling them that they could or could not do what they wanted to do. So, instead of going to the Congress to ask for more time to obtain warrants (I think they did last year but they are still spying without warrants despite it!) to make everything they're doing legal, they've instead gone behind the backs of Americans and continued to break the laws of our nation!!!
Bush and his supporters keep saying that what they're doing is legal, but yet, they can't prove it to the American people because there is no paper trail! If right from the start, Bush and his Regime were spying LEGALLY, obtaining warrants and permission would have been a breeze for them and this discussion today wouldn't be plaguing the Regime. They've been criminally spying on Americans from early 2001 and having no paper trail of their activity was key to their survival! 9/11/01, which we all remember was a day that the Regime used to cross out the rights of Americans and a day that they've continually used to 'convince' Americans that illegal activity by the Executive Branch is key to our protection, will go down as the turning point of American government. It's a day when the republicans in our government decided to make America into an authoritarian dictatorship and when democracy choked and died at the hands of these bastards.
I spit on Bush and his Regime. Bush can take his surveillance program and shove it up his ass. Maybe by shoving it up his ass, Americans can get the transparency that we've been waiting for!!!!!!!!!!

Cindy Sheehan disrupts Karl Rove's dinner!

I'm sure Bush and Rove were hoping that Cindy's stay in the hospital last week would mark the end of her protesting their criminal wars and activity, but it didn't happen. Cindy and about 50 others drove to Austin, Texas to protest Karl Rove who was to be a speaker at a republican dinner. Oh how I wish I could have been there!
It's been stated many times that Rove is 'Bush's Brain', so it makes sense to go after Bush this way. Why not? Why not make Rove's life miserable because he is indeed the man who has orchestrated almost everything that has happened in the last 6 years under the Bush Regime. Rove is a criminal too and should be treated as such. Without Rove, Bush would be who he really is sitting behind the desk in the Oval office....a 1st grader waiting every second of the day for a snack break. Without Rove, Bush wouldn't have been able to read 20 books this past year! Bush isn't reading.....it's Rove who is reading and Ameicans know it.
So, I think it's wonderful that Cindy and her friends are chasing this madman too. He is the brain behind the policies and it is Bush who is the Monkey Elf out front performing the policies for him!!!!!!! Way to go Cindy!! Don't give up either!!!!!!!!!!

More 9/11 tapes released

As with everything under the Bush Regime, I find the timing of the release of these new tapes to be very suspect. Isn't it interesting that the November elections are coming and we are seeing an increase in fake terror plots, more incidents on planes where passengers are accused of being terror suspects (only to find out a passenger was freaking out because she was taking a flight from London to the US! Who wouldn't after Bush & Britian made such a big deal out of the terror plot unfolding by individuals who didn't even have passports!), and then yesterday cargo at a Seattle port was suspected of explosive material after a dog sniffed it and turns out it was nothing but a bunch of oily rags? So, it makes sense that the fear mongers are wanting Americans to keep thinking the Boogeyman is going to get us and must not forget about what happened on 9/11 while the Bush Regime takes our rights away!!!!
No can forget 9/11/01 who watched the horror that day live on their televisions. No one.
I'm sure the families of the victims in the WTCs are grateful to hear the voices of their loved ones once more. It must be difficult to hear them panicking, however, but whenever I've heard the tapes played on t.v., I am always happy to hear the dispatchers, who are talking with the victims and helping them while they plea, talking in a calm, compassionate, and nurturing voice. This must bring great comfort to the families knowing that there was a person on the other end of the phone who cared that morning knowing the obvious was bound to happen. I hope it gives them peace.

CNN host Chuck Roberts has called Lamont the...

"AL-QAIDA CANDIDATE" live on the television!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this pisses you off and you want to express your anger to CNN and to their advertisers, click on the link above to go to a website that has linked to all the email addresses and contains the phone numbers!!!!! I'm so pissed off I could throw Chuck Roberts off a cliff. He should be fired for saying shit like that. The media is not supposed to be sharing their opinions on the air and if asshole thinks that Lamont is the 'al-Qaida candidate', then he needs TO SHOW PROOF OF THAT!!!!!!!!!

"As Lieberman goes, so should go Snowe"

This title is in reference to Maine's republican Senator, Olympia Snowe. Many of us Mainers are tired of Snowe's alliance with the Bush Regime policies and I, for one, am hoping that Jean Hay Bright, who is the democratic candidate in November, gets elected this year to replace her! Most incumbants are now being viewed as a hinderance to peace and progression in our country and across the world and because of that will be voted out this November. Joe Lieberman was the first to go and Cynthia McKinney was also ousted too (though her 'firing' had more to do with her recent behavior with White House Security. If she had apologized and took responsibility right off the bat, I think she would have stayed in.).
Americans are wanting change and it's my hope that Mainers will overwhelmingly vote for that this year!
Olympia Snowe is a tough one to beat, however, because she has been much loved by both parties in our state for years now. (I've voted for her every single time she has run since I registered myself as a democrat back in 1986 and she almost always wins with 70% of the vote) I'm not scared to not vote for her, though some here in Maine might feel uncomfortable not doing so.
I have a hand made sign on the back of my car window that states: BUSH STINKS, WAR STINKS, OLYMPIA STINKS. I've gotten many beeps because of that sign and I find it encouraging.
Wouldn't it be absolutely amazing if Olympia is ousted by a complete unknown and she never saw it coming and didn't prepare for it? I think so! Let's hope this November proves to be the election that turns our country around and slaps the republicans in our country right across the face!
HERE'S WHAT JEAN HAY BRIGHT SAID ABOUT THE CONNECTICUT VOTE AND OLYMPIA SNOWE! GO JEAN! WOOHOO!

A 13 & 14 year old breach White House security

Feel safe now knowing that two kids were able to take items from the White House Communication Agency? I find it so laughable that I could cry. Not that the items the kids were found in possession of are detrimental to our country's safety, but this story just reiterates why so many Americans compare the Bush Regime to the Keystone Cops!
Here's part of the article:
"Two teenage boys face theft charges for allegedly possessing radios and other
equipment belonging to a White House agency...The 13 year old and 14 year old,
both of Bettendorf, were charged with second-degree theft and were under
juvenile court supervision, court officials said...Court documents said the
White House Communications Agency reported the items missing in July, less than
a week before a visit by Vice President Dick Cheney."

Let's go back to September 27, 2001, shall we?

Chalmers Johnson wrote an incredible article for The Nation on that day for an upcoming October issue in the magazine and I think everyone should read it! Bush keeps saying that the terrorists attacked us on 9/11 because of our freedoms. We all know that was nonsense! Johnson laid it out extremely well back then, but of course, the nation had turned to the Bush Regime for guidance and Americans were not reading anything by the liberals. I, for one, never saw this piece, but as I read down it now, I realize I was right on the money (as well as other liberals and democrats were too!) about why we were really attacked. Lining the pockets of the Bush Regime was just the tip of the iceberg behind the 9/11 attack....
Hat tip to "c0rp0rate pr0fits" (his screenname) on AMERICAblog for finding this article and posting it for all of us to read! Pass the article on to everyone you know please.

Here's a video sent to me from Miriam about...

...what the Israelis are doing! It's incredible. Miriam would love to get feedback from those of you who watch the video because she would like to report back to the appropriate people in Israel who are on the side of peace. She will check my blog periodically to read what you're saying. (You might have to select the link and then paste it into your browser to watch) Thank you!

Here's her email to me:

http://mishtara.org/hingus/?p=70

This is the link to the video of the demonstration, and the shooting.

As you can see, the demonstrators are unarmed.

What you cannot see, is that the IDF has come deep into the village, for no reason, other than the invasion of Lebanon seems to have made these soldiers crazy.

I am not sure, but I think Limor is the person who walked me to a 'safe spot' when I was in Bil'in on June 23rd.

Why are our soldiers getting tumors?

Quite a few of our soldiers are coming home and are getting very, very sick. Some have joint pain, tremors, bleeding gums, and in some cases, they've actually had to have tumors removed from their bodies! Is depleted uranium to blame? Some soldiers are saying it is. What's so incredibly frustrating is that the military hospitals are refusing to accept that as the cause of the soldier's illnesses! Of course they won't.
For a few years now our military has been using weapons laced with this crap in it. The tragic part in addition to our soldier's health being affected is also the fact that depleted uranium has a shelf life of 500,000+ years in the soil! So, years from now many Iraqis are going to become ill and will die and babies will be born deformed. Is this the type of shit that makes Americans proud of their government? Nope! It makes me want to bash my head against a wall until I forget what the Bush Regime has done to the reputation of our country and what they have done to the human race! It's insane what these warmongers have done and are doing.
Remember the battle in Fallujah? We used depleted uranium along with a Napalm-like chemical weapons on the people of that city. Not only did we demolish a good portion of the city, but we also killed 4,000 people and dispersed thousands more from their homes. It's my understanding that the Iraqis who left Fallujah are now being told that they can come back and start rebuilding their lives. Have these people been told that depleted uranium stays in the soil forever and will make them sick if they start messing around in it? I bet they haven't. I bet the poor Iraqis are being told to go back because the rich Iraqis have been told the truth about what is going on!!!!!!!!! Sound familiar here in the US? Are the poor in our country ever forced to live on the ocean where the land is clean or are they forced to buy property that is less than sub-standard that has poisoned Earth beneath it because that's all they can afford?
Yup, the Bush Regime is nation building alright. They're building a nation that they've always dreamed to own...a nation where there are no rules and where they can get away with poisoning the citizens just for the sheer pleasure of it!

This is why Rummy must go...

...it's all fun and games to him!

Lyric of the day....

"American Idiot" by GREEN DAY

Don't want to be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new media
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind fuck America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along to the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Don't want to be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information age of hysteria.
It's calling out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Where everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

Bush says he's keeping us safe...

...and he says that, "we're fighting the terrorists over there, so we don't have to fight them over here!". Okay, then please explain, Mr. Bush, why 3 men in Texas have been arrested for trying to buy 80 cell phones at the local Wal-Mart and when their property was searched it was found that they had a total of 1,000 cell phones and lots of cash in their possession? Huh? Are these homegrown terrorists buying these phones to detonate bombs in our country because you've made the whole world happy with us or are these young men just lovers of cellphones? Good grief. I bet he would say the latter because he's a man who can't admit when he's wrong!
This is how our nation will be protected: observant Americans who suspect weird behavior in individuals. Invading, occupying, and killing innocent people of sovereign nations who had nothing to do with 9/11/01 and who couldn't hurt our country even if they wanted to is not the way to combat the terrorists! Like John Kerry said many times when he was campaigning for the presidency in 2004, our nation should be treating terrorism here as a nuisance, meaning, we should set up stings to dangle the 'carrot' as bait for the terrorists to fall into the trap (and in the case above.....a cashier questioning the activity of a few customers who were purchasing 80 cell phones who wanted them rung up 3 at a time!). That's how we'll succeed in keeping our nation safe. Strengthening our borders, coastlines, transportation sector and skies would be a good start too.
Bush has bashed the bee's nest in the Middle East with a baseball bat, and because of that, we are definately not safe. Because he's not protecting us, Americans, as usual, need to remain observant of their surroundings.

55% of Americans thinks Bush is doing good job on protecting the homeland

Well now, isn't that interesting. This percentage rate for Bush has risen 11% since May of this year and there is an election coming up in a few months. Oh what timing right wing Reuters has to release this now! At this rate, by November, Bush will have an 85% approval rating for his "exceptional" tackling of homeland security! I wonder if the Americans polled (if the poll is accurate of course) knew at the time that the Bush Regime was defunding bomb detection while Bush was pretending to be a hero in the British plot by Pakistani nationalists by acting like he was the one who did all the leg work to stop the plot!
I'm sure no one who had their lipstick confiscated at the airport recently was part of this poll either!
Like I've been saying for quite some time now, the only way the criminal republicans can actually steal an election is if Bush's poll numbers are beyond 50%, because if you think about it, there is no way they could get away with stealing an election if Bush's approval ratings are all below 30% and then his party members win by a landslide in the election! His approval numbers have to be somewhere in the mid-area for the republicans to be able to state that they didn't steal it, but rather, "it was just a close election". It's the only way they can get away with it (oh yes, and it makes sense to have control of all levels of government too so no one will look into it!).
With this in mind, I find it fascinating that Reuters (they're pro-Bush most of the time....when they should just be a catch all news outlet and non-partisan!) is releasing this poll now. Looks like the Bush Pundits are gearing up for another election coup. They're scared of a loss for sure and there is no other way they could win at this point without stealing another election!

Wow, what a week and the 'punishments' keep coming from the right wingers!

When Ned Lamont won the democratic primary in Connecticut on Tuesday 60% of the country rejoiced because it was a win for democracy and freedom here and abroad. The win was also a reflection of the mood of the people of America. We're tired of war. We're tired of fake wars created to line the pockets of greedy men. We're just tired of shit being done in our name that is illegal, immoral, and not right!
So, because of this primary, the neocons in the White House pushed their new talking points out a tennis ball machine the next day and it hasn't stopped. They're saying now that the Lamont win was a vote for another terrorist attack on our nation and to them it "proved" that certain Americans are weak on terror. Of course, as Tony Snow, Ken Melhman, and Dick Cheney were stating this new talking point to the nation over and over, we awoke on Thursday morning to Britain uncovering a huge terror plot by Pakistani British Nationals against the Brits and Americans. This fueled the fire for the blowhards in Washington, but not for long, however. We soon discovered that these assholes knew about the terrorist plot a week before the attack and Bush authorized the code red alert on Wednesday evening. We now know they were waiting until after the election result on Tuesday to use as a political tool to convince Americans that if anyone DOESN'T VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE then the country will revel in Hell fire. I spit on them.
What other punishments is the White House conspiring to do to Americans who voted for a liberal candidate?
Why not attack the Internet! Yup, Microsoft (Bill Gates is connected to this White House) has issued a warning that A HUGE INTERNET ATTACK IS COMING AND IT'S NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY. Large servers may crash and could be out for days. Wow, these guys are sure getting creative, aren't they? Microsoft is ordering a 'patch' that will block this attack from destructing your hard drive. Uh huh. Who wants to bet the "patch" is actually a key to unlock our hard drives so the Feds can get WAY INSIDE OUR COMPUTERS? Now, that would be believable! I don't believe for a second that Microsoft nor the Feds really want to protect us. I believe they hate America.
Oh yes, on the surface they're saying they're protecting us before something bad happens, but as we all know RIGHT WINGERS LIKE TO CREATE THEIR OWN TERRORISM AND THEN SHOW US THEY HAVE THE ANSWER TO FIXING IT! They're not heroes.......they're criminals who are hell-bent on destroying anyone who doesn't agree with their Evil Agenda.

Bush & Condicruella are feuding over Israel

Uh huh. Okay, let me get this straight? Bush and his mouthpiece don't agree on what Israel is doing? What? You mean to tell me that Bush is yelling, "stay the course!" for Israel, and Condi is saying, "Ah ah. We need to be talking to the Iran & Syria to make peace over there first pal!". That just doesn't seem right to me. From the Insight article above:
The disagreement between Mr. Bush and Ms. Rice is over the ramifications of U.S.
support for Israel's continued offensive against Lebanon. The sources said Mr.
Bush believes that Israel's failure to defeat Hezbollah would encourage Iranian
adventurism in neighboring Iraq. Ms. Rice has argued that the United States
would be isolated both in the Middle East and Europe at a time when the
administration seeks to build a consensus against Iran's nuclear weapons
program.
Instead, Ms. Rice believes the United States should engage Iran and Syria to pressure Hezbollah to end the war with Israel. Ms. Rice has argued that such an effort would result in a U.S. dialogue with Damascus and Tehran on Middle East stability.

Is Condi becoming a liberal now because she sees through the madness, stubborness, and whacked ideologies of her boss just like a good portion of the American people do? Wow.
Here's the part of the article that made me think Joe Lieberman said this:
"One Jewish friend of Bush actually called up a senior Israeli official and
began yelling, 'What the hell's going on here,'" a source said. "'Are you going
to fight or what?'"
LOL Well, one thing is for sure...if Bush wants to be the "spreader of democracy and peace" in the Middle East, he had better start opening up the dialogue and not continue backing Israel as they bomb the crap out of neighboring infrastructures which is putting tons of people in peril. Dropping leaflets to alert people to leave sounds good, but if the roads and runways are bombed to shit and you have no gas in your car because gas hasn't been delivered to your local station in weeks and there is none to purchase so you can get away, and you have the American president sending more bombs to Israel to continue the destruction, it is guaranteed that PEACE FOR ISRAEL WON'T BE ACHIEVED ANYTIME SOON!
For the first time, I actually agree with Condi. (I just spilled my drink)
Bush did say recently that Condi is doing a fine job in her efforts over in the Middle East, despite all of this. Is that a signal that her job will be ending soon just like Michael Brown's job ended when Bush said that about him? Could be!
You know, Joe Lieberman may just have a job waiting for him and won't have to bother running as an "independent" to keep the AIPAC money coming his way! Poor Condi, she's been kicked to the curb and replaced with a fake republican who loves what Israel is doing. Huh.

The D.I.N.O. is gone-O!!!!

What an amazing night last night was! Historical. It truly was a nail biter not knowing if Ned Lamont was going to beat the incumbent D.I.N.O. (democrat in name only), Joe Lieberman, but when he did I was estatic. Joe was trying everything in his 'Rovian' power to win and he even resorted to accusing Ned Lamont's team of sabotaging his website, which was incredible. Well, not too incredible since Joe really is a republican under all those layers, so it did make sense that he would resort to that kind of tactic.
America (and Connecticut!) won last night. Americans are sick and tired of the Iraq war and we want change. We're tired of the "stay the course!" slogan and Bush telling us that everything is fine in Iraq. Hell, Bush even has said that future presidents will have to handle Iraq, because he has no idea how to fix his own mess over there! There's a freaking civil war going on and all this man can say about it is things will get better in time. Well, that may be true, but why do our soldiers have to be stuck in the middle of it! Americans want a new course away from all this madness that we are currently seeing being demonstrated in Washington.
"BRING 'EM HOME!" is the new slogan of Americans and those like Ned Lamont who are running for office will be the best choice to accomplish this!
Lamont will also focus on America's issues too and that is something that Joe Lieberman has lacked in. Joe has remained steadfast in his loyalty to the republican party and it was proven to me last night when he changed his tie from blue to red at his concession speech. Calling himself an "independent" now is laughable, especially since he can't keep his tongue out of Bush's mouth!
Let's hope November is the turning point for our soldiers, their families, and our reputation in the world! We want change and we're going to get it.

Joe Lieberman is truly a republican

He is using republican tactics by accusing his opponent, Ned Lamont, of hacking into his website and crashing it! What an ass he is. He's doing this to convince the voters of his state to not trust Lamont and to view himself as a victim. Well, boo hoo hoo Joe. It's being reported in quite a few places that voter turnout for this primary race is huge, but you would never know it if you watched Hardball w/ Chris Matthews earlier tonight! Ole Chris said that there was hardly anyone showing up at the same time he was standing amongst voters of both sides with his chest out protecting Lieberman! That right there should be an indication that Lieberman is nervous and that there is a very good chance the man could lose his spot in Washington.
Oh well, from what I've seen of ole Joe in the last five years since 9/11/01, I have to say...he deserves to lose. Not only is he for the war in Iraq (which is protecting his other residency...Israel), but he went along with the republican production entitled, "Coma Woman With Brain Made Out of Soup Is Alive!".
Even tonight, he and his wife couldn't both wear blue to show where their heart truly is. Joe wore blue and his wife wore red. Time to give it up Joe! If you like what the republicans are saying and doing, then call yourself a republican and leave the democrats alone and stop pretending to be one!

Iraq's Maliki has had it with the US military...

Oh boy. The anger level in the Iraqi government is escalating. They're angry with our military, who are being commanded to attack the Shiites, because this new government is TRYING to create an atmosphere within their own country that will help to unify the sects. Well, they're unifying alright because they're unifying against us!
We've seen the protests where the Iraqis, who are standing up for Hezbollah against Israel, are chanting "Death to America" like it's just another day, but what is not helping this whole situation is our forces targeting ANY GROUP within this country! What are we thinking?
We need to get our asses out of that country fast. Our mere presence is fueling the hatred against us and our Armed Forces are not helping this rage by targeting one particular sect of the country! We cannot take sides in this civil war. We must leave...now.

Quote of the day by Molly Ivans...

From her piece linked above about the Bush Cartel, the press, and other stuff:

"Meanwhile, I have yet another complaint to lodge
against George W. Bush. "The man is a moron!" is not political debate. Not
helpful. Not even prudent, as his old man would say. But that is precisely what
he leaves us saying: "But, he is a complete moron." Someone needs to pick up
this discussion and point out that at least he's our moron and say something
encouraging like someday maybe he'll learn to pronounce nuclear. We can count on him not to change his mind about stem cell research no matter what people learn. And, the only foreign leader he's necked with is female."

I couldn't agree more Molly! I'm not so sure, however, that he's only necked with female foreign leaders. He has gazed lovingly into the eyes of Putin and saw his soul, so there is a change when those two vanished behind closed doors....kissing was going on!

I'm not going to see the movie, World Trade Center

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about 9/11/01 and the horrific images of that day. Myself and other Americans have those images and the emotional reactions to them ingrained in our psyche. It's a day that no one can forget. With that in mind, I was actually going to go and see the movie, World Trade Center by Oliver Stone, because I thought he would do a good job in reflecting what we all witnessed. I was going to go until I read this line in the article above about the movie:
Paramount Pictures, which is releasing World Trade Center, reached out to
conservatives and Republicans to gain their support for the movie, and it
worked. Conservative columnist Cal Thomas says the movie "is one of the greatest pro-American, pro-family, pro-faith, pro-male, flag-waving, God Bless America
films you will ever see."
I don't want to see it now if the right wing retards in our nation are going to prop it up to be THEIR day where men were men, women weren't heroes, Christianity rules!, and flag waving (and not sending your child to fight Bush's wars!) is the only way to show how much you love your country! I am so tired of their freaking rhetoric, so I'm not going to watch the movie now.
Our whole country came away from that day loving our country more than ever, meaning, we saw our fellow Americans die tragically live on our televisions and it hurt us. We cried for the family members lost. We also saw most of the world embrace our country, many of which exclaimed, "We are all Americans!". It was amazing how our country was cuddled that day and in the days ahead. I, personally, will never forget it. We love our country, but sometimes we don't agree with the leader of it, and our Dearl Leader didn't embrace that notion right from the start.
When Iraq was brought into the picture the following year, America changed. We became more divided than we were on September 10th, 2001. Why? Because anyone who didn't back Bush's illegal invasion and occupation of a sovereign nation was considered a traitor to our country by the very party above who thinks this movie will help out their causes! Freedom of speech was replaced with Nationalism. If you weren't for what Bush wanted to do, then you were a terrorist. Case closed in their eyes. I'm still pissed off about it. Many people I know who have always hung out their American flag are either not hanging it out now or are hanging it upside down! They're livid with the America under Bush and under the people who fly their flags because it is cool to do, who won't send their children to fight the Bush wars, and who believe that they are more righteous than the rest of us because.........they support Bush.
This is why I'm not going to see the movie. I'm not going to help out the republican agenda by watching propaganda to inflate their causes (who wants to bet they use some of scenes from this movie in their upcoming campaigns!). I'm sure it's a wonderful movie, but because the right wingers are embracing it tells me that there isn't a lot of questioning going on in this movie and Americans will walk away knowing less than they did before they originally saw it. Yup, it's a film right up the alley of the neocons who thinks truth is calling someone a bad name. I spit on them and this movie. Not going to see it.

Bush is a man-child

The article above is a couple days old but I couldn't help but write about it after I read it! Our Dear Leader is an absolute man-child lunatic! On Friday, he spent some time riding his bicycle. Not only did he ride his wittle bike, but he said he was 'putting the pedal to the metal' while riding it! Then he said these things:
“What I would give to be 16 again!” Bush yelled out at one point as he
mashed the pedals of his Trek bicycle through a wooded area.
In fact, Bush does not ride quietly, constantly shouting out in his Texas twang the names of trees and geographic features and yelling at himself to pedal faster.
“Air assault!” he yelled as he started one of two major climbs, up Calichi Hill, which he named for the white limestone rock from which it is formed.
I'm thinking our man-child is still a 16 year old and because of his life long battle with alcoholism his mind stopped maturing from that age on! What an embarrassment he is to our country and to the planet! My twelve year old son is more mature than this asshole.
Can you believe this is the man who is in charge of the (ONCE) most powerful country on the planet? Is it any wonder that our nation is now not trusted or respected because of this asshole? He needs to freakin grow up and get serious about his role. Actually, he needs to quit with his Cartel in tow, so Americans can have their country back!!!

Tepees & rainbow flags are coming to Crawford, Texas!

Cindy Sheehan is back from Jordan! She and other anti-war activists are setting up shop on her newly purchased land to protest our Dear Leader's wars and to find out what noble cause he is sending our young men and women to die for. Love her. I can't wait to find out what was said and learned in her meeting with Iraqi Parliament leaders at their meeting in Jordan!
Cindy is such a huge inspiration to all of us who want to see some peace for the first time in six years while under the worst Administration in the history of our country. The right wingers can put her down all they want, but in the end, Cindy will be the one who was working hard towards peace while the right wing pundits were desperately trying to keep the maiming, the paralyzing, and the killing of our soldiers and others going!
We're on the side of humanity while the opposite side of the isle is not. Hail Cindy in all your efforts!

Booooooo to BP Oil

First of all if there is a major leak in one of BP's pipelines, we want them to fix it, of course. My first reaction to this story this morning was with all the profits that the oil companies have "earned" in the last few years, you would have thought top-notch maintenance would have been in order! You would think that they would have replaced old parts by now and wouldn't have allowed 4 to 5 barrels leak out. You would think they would be able to afford additional employees to keep an eye on things, but they haven't.
The timing of it seems kind of odd to me too. Dick Cheney has been behind the scenes for at least a year now conspiring with Israel. We are currently seeing their plan unfold on our televisions and this plan is to stir up the Middle East by using Israel as a pawn.....so the Bush Cartel Swines can get into Iran to capture their oil etc. Well, maybe our Darth is seeing that their plan is being spoiled because Americans are not backing them. Americans are tired of the violence and the killing and we are not supporting our country and Israel in their quest because of it! So, I find it interesting that, as we approach the November elections, BP shut downs their largest American plant.
Why?
Because the Oil Maggots are scheming behind the scenes concerning our elections. I bet they know they are going to stay in control because they've already rigged what they've had to rig to 'win' it and are just pushing forward with their Agenda, which is lining their pockets some more! Hey, if they can't get the oil in Iran to hoard and drive up the planet's prices.....they'll do it one refinery at a time and won't feel a shred of guilt about it either!
It was pointed out this morning that in the aftermath of Katrina gas prices did spike but the amount of oil production affected was three times as great as BP's. So, will gas prices not spike very high as we are fearing? It will be interesting to see how 'honest' the Oil Maggots are. If prices spike past what it was after Katrina, then we'll know they're just playing with us.
I don't know about you but I am tired of helping the oil & gas companies make huge amounts of money while doing nothing!

Parrot blogging!

At one time in my life, I had a blue-crowned conure (left) and a nanday (right). What fun these two parrots were! I got them as a pair from an Oriental family in Portland, Maine and unfortunately they had been abused. Rosco, the blue-crown, was very untrusting and had no feathers on his belly and part of his back when I got him, and Peco was very untrusting and emotionally down. After a couple of years of working with these two (tons of patience and bitten fingers I may add!), they finally broke out of their madness. Rosco had grown his feathers back and he was the most playful funny parrot I ever owned! He was a talker too. Because he obviously spent quite a few years with the Oriental family, he would mumble words in Chinese when the house was quiet. I loved that. One day when he was doing that, he blurted out, "Fuck you!!!" and I nearly fell over in my chair! He learned that from another owner because I don't say that word around my son at all!
Okay, here's the sad part: two years ago, I was going outside to smoke a cigarette and as I was going out the door......Rosco my blue-crown landed on my shoulder. I started to walk backwards into the house to get him but he flew up into the trees! For 5 days, I tried to get him. I put his cage out and even brought out Peco to try to coax him back to me, but he wouldn't come. He was never the kind of bird who would come to me when I called his name. He would only fly to me when it was HIS idea. I have to tell you.......I cried my eyes out when I knew it was hopeless. (This happened in April and it was freezing cold.....I never saw him again after the 5th day) I felt like a child had died and I was bonkers for quite some time. Knowing that he either froze to death or starved to death was too much to bear. I'm even having a hard time writing this part because I miss him so much!
After this happened, I decided that I couldn't handle having birds anymore (plus I had a Jenday conure and two Cockatiels) because just looking at all of them made me miss Rosco so much. My friend Kim and her boyfriend now have them. They've enjoyed the birds so much that they just adopted two African Greys! So, I'm happy to say that I still get to see them.

I swear this happened tonight...

I found this article above that says Bush has read 20 books this year. I said to my son, "Hey Zach. Do you believe that Bush has read 20 books this year?", and he said back, "Yes Mom, comic books and vacation brochures!". LOL The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree in my house.

Two quotes from today about the situation in Iraq...

"We're ruining our United States Army. We are decimating our army. We can't continue with the tempo and the commitment that we are on right now," Hagel said on CBS "Face the Nation."
and,
"This is a civil war. I think the generals, the other day, were cautious in their language. But I think they were telling us something loud and clear to anyone who wanted to listen," said Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn. "I frankly don't believe that U.S. military people can necessarily play referee in that kind of a situation."

Cindy Sheehan is coming home from Jordan and here is her plan...

Sheehan will try again to meet with the president

CRAWFORD, Texas — Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, begins her summer peace vigil here Sunday, only seven miles from President Bush's ranch.
Bush came to the ranch for a 10-day respite last Thursday and plans to stay until Aug. 13.

Sheehan, who will arrive here from a trip to Jordan, where she met and talked with Iraqi families, said she will once again seek a meeting with the president.
" I want to ask him why he continues to stay in Iraq when the killing gets worse every day. I want to continue to hold him accountable," she told USA TODAY in a phone interview from Jordan.

She said she also wants to tell Bush what she has heard from the Iraqi families — their problems and their needs.
"One of the things they want is a timeline for U.S. troops to get out of their country," she said.

Sheehan came to Crawford last August seeking a meeting with Bush and setting up a camp on the road to the president's ranch. Hundreds of peace activists and war protesters followed her down, making her encampment a media magnet that beamed stories and pictures of the protest around the world. Her protest triggered a counter protest by supporters of the war on the final weekend of August.
Bush, who met with Sheehan in 2004 at Fort Lewis, Wash., along with other parents of troops killed in Iraq, but refused to meet with her last summer, saying he disagreed with her call for an immediate pullout. However, he did send administration aides to meet with her, however.

On Friday, White House press secretary Tony Snow held out little hope that Bush would give in this time. He said there were "no plans" for any meetings this time with Sheehan, presidential or otherwise.
Snow said that with the White House focused on hammering out a United Nations resolution that would end hostilities in the Middle East, he said the subject of Sheehan had not risen to that level.

And then, in a nod to the searing 100-degree temperatures here, Snow added, "I would advise her to bring water, Gatorade, or both."

Bush spent part of Saturday meeting at his ranch with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and national security adviser Stephen Hadley as they monitored U.N. negotiations on Lebanon.

Sheehan will kick off her vigil Sunday morning with a prayer service and a press conference, which will be staged on five acres of vacant land she bought about one mile down the road from the center of Crawford, a quiet town of about 700 residents. Sheehan will stay in a tent on the land, which still has no running water and electricity.

On Saturday, a handful of volunteers braved the heat and white gravel dust kicked up by visiting cars to pitch tents and putting up signs. One sign at the entrance said. "Welcome Home Camp Casey," the name, after her son, Sheehan gave to her encampment last year.

Also on the land were hundreds of small, white wooden crosses, symbolizing the graves of Americans killed in Iraq.

Remember when Bush said he wouldn't participate in nation building in 2000?

Wow! How things have changed! Yup, he's currently trying to build a new nation in Iraq (unfortunately it's not going too well because he's allowed the Iranians take control of the nation and it now appears to hate America as much as Saddam did), and he is currently using Israel as a pawn to demolish that part of the Middle East so as to provoke an attack.....which will give him a few more countries to nation build! Of course, now Fidel Castro is pretty close to the end of his life and power has currently been given to his brother, but that 's not enough for the Pigs in our White House. They want to spread "their democracy" onto Cuba now and have come up with their own plan. The scary part? Bush and Condi hand picked the panel to oversee this new plan themselves! Oh boy. You know what that means? Civil War coming to Cuba!
From the article above, here's one thing the Dastardly Duo is planning on doing to spread democracy:
As the panel sees it, the administration should "assist with garbage trucks" to
ensure proper trash collection and disposal and water trucks to help thirsty
communities.
The aid program also should provide "soap,
disinfectant, and cleaning materials to vulnerable groups."

Isn't that great? Cleaning up the streets by assisting the garbage trucks is going to make all the difference and freedom will ring! Apparently, all the pee-on jobs go to our soldiers, which is not surprising because all wars are started by wealthy men who are not willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done themselves. We have a whole White House full of warmongering chickenhawks too. Aren't our soldiers lucky?

Which democrat will win the primary in Connecticut?

Joe Lieberman is in the fight of his career. Ned Lamont is also too. Many democrats and liberals who supported Joe Lieberman when he was on the ticket with Al Gore in 2000 have now turned their backs on him. Why? Because he supports the Iraq occupation and votes more in line with the republican party and his constituents are upset! He has become a republican since 9/11/01 and it's no wonder he has upset many of his voters.
The polls are suggesting that Lamont will take this race hands down but we will have to wait and see. I hope he does. I think as the democrat party goes, we need to start standing up for our convictions and get rid of the people who think war and killing is the road to peace. Ned Lamont is against the war and that is why he is on the road to victory. Should Lieberman run as an Independent in November against Lamont, I think it will hurt Lieberman for the rest of his life. Democrats want responsible people in government and if Lieberman resorts to dirty tricks like the republicans do instead of letting the voice of the people prevail, he will be sending a terrible message for himself. He should just accept the vote, concede, and then go on with his life.
Democrats want change in the path our nation is on and if we have to get rid of a few of our own, then so be it.

Here's a thought...

Lebanon is claiming that 900 people have been killed by Israel as Israel bombs the country in retaliation of Hezbollah capturing two of their soldiers. What if......(what if!)....the two Israeli soldiers are being well-cared for while in the hands of Hezbollah? How is the world going to react when it is found out that the group of thugs known as Hezbollah treated the Israeli soldiers with dignity while Israel killed and massacred the Lebanese people for the return of these two soldiers? I have no evidence that Hezbollah is not torturing the two soldiers, but after reading the article above about one family affected by Israel's bombing campaign, I couldn't help but wonder. I think the world will be outraged if this is the case, and because the U.S. is backing Israel and because Bush has allowed the torture of many Iraqis from his illegal occupation in Iraq, the reaction is not going to be pretty. This is why myself and others have been so upset with Bush's war in Iraq. America is supposed to be the example to the world and it's very upsetting that our reputation will be tarnished again because we (and our "peaceful allies") ended up behaving worse than the terrorists.

Can you imagine...

...if John Lennon were alive today? What do you think he would be saying about the war in Iraq and the US backed aggression in connection with Israel? Of course, I would imagine that he would be doing what the rest of us are doing and who think that war is never the answer and it always ends up with dead people on both sides with no clear winner! He would be protesting, blogging, sending money to different campaigns, signing petitions, and who knows, he might have taken his clothes off during one of Bush's State of the Union speeches with words written on his chest in black magic marker that read, "KILLING IS NOT BRINGING PEACE TO ANYONE!". I can only dream that John Lennon would have done that. His song "Imagine" makes me tear up everytime I hear it. Let's revel in his song's beauty again....here it is:

Imagine by John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Hat tip to Cindy Sheehan!

Cindy Sheehan is the REAL 'spreader of peace', and not Bush,... like he wants everyone to think.
Ms. Cindy has gone to Amman, Jordan to meet with members of the Iraqi Parliament to talk about peace in that country and how to achieve it. Let's hope she is successful! I give her tons of credit for having the courage to meet with all of them. The best part is........Condi Rice hasn't been invited to do the same. In fact, just a few days ago, Ms. Rice was told by the Lebanese government that she was not welcome into their country, because they were being bombed while she sat with the Israeli government, where she WASN'T asking for a ceasefire, but rather, was sitting there admiring the new suit and shoes she just bought full price in the region. Rice doesn't care about peace, and because she is the mouthpiece of the most vile presidency America has ever known, it is not surprising in the least that no country wants her to come into their own!
They would rather have a REAL PEACE PATRIOT in their presense. Who the hell wouldn't?
My heart goes out to Cindy. It's my hope that she is well-respected while she is there, and of course, I hope peace in Iraq can be achieved for the first time since Bush illegally invaded and occupied the country of Iraq for financial gain for his corporate Pigs. Iraq has been an embarrassment for most Americans. Bush has killed enough people to "payback" whatever reason he feels justified to say and it's time for some peace!

Rummy & his military still refuse to call it a civil war

It's not surprising. The Pigs in the White House and in all levels of our current government use Orwellian words to describe just about everything they talk about. Calling what is happening in Iraq right now, 'sectarian violence', is just another way of saying 'a civil war' but without upsetting the idiotic people of the United States who can't handle the truth. It's no different than Bush and Cheney calling the president's position the "Unitary Executive". Your mind immediately thinks, "Wow! One person at the top who is in charge", and it sounds so innocent, but really, the true meaning and their true intention means is the president is running the show like a dictator who spews out the rules and the laws where everyone must obey him without interruption! A dictator is what this term is implying, but again, it's to protect the fragile minds of Americans.
Here is the definition of a civil war from Merriam-Webster dictionary:
Main Entry: civil war: noun: a war between opposing groups of citizens
of the same country
http://reference.aol.com/dictionary?dword=civil+war
So, that got me thinking. What other ways can the worst government in the history of our nation call what is going on in Iraq instead of calling what it really is...a civil war? Here's a few I came up with:
Two Large Groups of Different Ideologies Fighting Against Each Other
Two Large Groups Disagreeing on Ideologies and are Killing Each Other
Tribal Wars Breaking Out All Over the Place
War Between the Cripps & The Bloods
A War For Control of the Country
Killing By Two Groups of Different Ideologies
Two Soccer Teams Vying For the Championship
Religious Turmoil Resulting In Conflicts & All Out War A War Broke Out Between Simon & Garfunkel and Brooks & Dunn
It doesn't matter what Rummy and others call it. They can sugarcoat it all they want, but the reality is the Sunnis and Shiites are in a civil war with each other to gain control of the country of Iraq and have been for quite some time now. That's it. That's what it is!

I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself....

If it looks like a Fascist and it acts like a Fascist...

....it's definately Fascist Senator Conrad Burns of Montana! Yup, the right winger, who can't seem to shut his mouth when he is around the average citizen in his state or anywhere else, is losing ground politically because he can't keep himself from quaking out insults.
As you know, he lambasted the firefighters in his state about how they handled a fire in Billings. Burns has a house in Billings, so I'm sure the Fascist said what he said because he was protecting his own interests. Of course he was. Isn't that how all republican Fascists are? Well, his right wing state is turning on him now because they've had it with him. After three terms in the Senate, there is a very good chance he'll be retiring in November and I can't wait. Let's hope the anger at republicans keeps growing and November proves to be the month that Americans get their country back after kicking their asses out!

Speaking of an unruly mob...

Okay fine. I haven't mentioned an 'unruly mob' in my previous posts, but a friend of mine did alert me to a new blog, www.unrulymob.blogspot.com, after we all got banned from a huge one. So, we're a little unruly today.
Anyways, guess who is finally going to appear in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee after he told everyone that he was too busy to attend? Donald Scumfeld. Yup, Mr. Warmongering, "I could care less about a strategy to get to peace because I'm enjoying the torturing of people we haven't charged with a crime for years now!", Fascist Pig himself........Rummy. I can't wait to hear the man lie his ass off or divert away from the questions asked of him...you know...kind of like how he and the others around him do. And you watch......he won't even divulge how many troops he has over there let alone how many he is going to send over there if he is going to send some to Iraq at all! Everything is a big secret with these assholes. And they wonder why there are unruly mobs popping up all over country and on the Internet!!

How will Rick Santorum win in November?

Oh, that's right. He won't actually win honestly. He'll just resort to old republican tricks by supporting the Green Party candidate in the election (he is...read the article above) and spend lots of money on advertising so voters will waste their vote on this candidate and it will give Santorum a good chance at winning!
Yup, it's official. No republican can win an election honestly. They can't. They are the party of fraud, corruption, lying, deceiving. The End.

Oh, how I would love to see this someday....

It'll be a great day when education gets all the money it wants and the Air Force has to hold a bake sale to buy bombers. ~Author unknown, quoted in "You Said a Mouthful" edited by Ronald D. Fuchs

Intelligent Design wingnuts lose their seats on Kansas council

Here's what one person said:
"Students need to have an accurate assessment of the state of the facts in
regard to Darwin's theory," said John West, a vice president for the Center for
Science and Culture.
Reading that, which side do you think this man is on? Do you think he believes in Evolution or do you think he believes in Intelligent Design? Incredibly, he is on the Intelligent Design side! When I read the name of the facility he worked for it sounded to me to be real. Nope, in my opinion, it's another right wing group of weirdos calling themselves scientists and making up their proof to fake out the masses!

In my opinion, people in our country can believe that God created everything, but I don't think it should be taught in our public schools. It should be taught in church where religion and religious beliefs are welcome. And if they want to prove to the world that the world is flat........keep it in the church and not in the public schools!

Quote by Abe Lincoln (oh the foreshadow of things to come!)...

"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed..."
~ Abraham Lincoln, in a letter to (Col.) William F. Elkins, Nov. 21, 1864, five months before his assasination

Was Israel on the Lebanese side of the border when the firefight with Hezbollah broke out?

I had my t.v. on when the breaking news came in that Israel had gone over the border into Lebanon and a firefight broke out with Hezbollah. For two hours, this was the case and all channels were reporting the same scenario (even in Europe). But, a funny thing happened. Israel gives a press conference and says that they were a few hundred yards from the Lebanese border when they were fired upon that resulted in some of their soldiers being killed and two of their soldiers being captured. Well, isn't that interesting. If the original scenario is true, then that means Israel is committing war crimes every time it launches a bomb at Lebanon and kills innocent people! And...according to Bush, a country has a right to defend itself against intruders, so wouldn't this be a case where Hezbollah was protecting it's interests? I'm not saying that Hezbollah is a bunch of good guys who deserve to be put in a positive light, but I do know one thing....Israel was on a rampage against the Palestinians and it was after they demolished Palestine's infrastructure that they decided to keep going in a straight line. It's my belief and it will continue to be my belief.........that Israel is in the wrong here. Because George Bush is sending arms to Isreal and because it is now known that Cheney was talking with Israeli officials behind the scenes in the last two months, it seems to me that Israel is being told to push forward to provoke attacks on itself to make Israel look like the victim. They're trying to provoke an all out war, so they can AGAIN capture more Middle East oil so they CAN HOARD IT AND DRIVE UP THE PRICES SOME MORE. This has always been their Evil Plan and they're hashing it out through Israel.
So, you be the judge on whether or not Israel did indeed cross into Lebanon because they were told too by the Oil Maggots in our country! I believe they did. Here is what other people in our country also witnessed on our t.v. just as I did (it's posted above too if you'd rather go there to read it):
Kidnapped in Israel or Captured in Lebanon?

Israelis with captured flags
By Joshua Frank
Official justification for Israel's invasion on thin ice
As Lebanon continues to be pounded by Israeli bombs and munitions, the justification for Israel’s invasion is treading on very thin ice. It has become general knowledge that it was Hezbollah guerillas that first kidnapped two IDF soldiers inside Israel on July 12, prompting an immediate and violent response from the Israeli government, which insists it is acting in the interest of national defense. Israeli forces have gone on to kill over 370 innocent Lebanese civilians (compared to 34 killed on Israel’s side) while displacing hundreds of thousands more. But numerous reports from international and independent media, as well as the Associated Press, raise questions about Israel’s official version of the events that sparked the conflict two weeks ago.
The original story, as most media tell it, goes something like this: Hezbollah attacked an Israeli border patrol station, killing six and taking two soldiers hostage. The incident happened on the Lebanese/Israel border in Israeli territory. The alternate version, as explained by several news outlets, tells a bit of a different tale: These sources contend that Israel sent a commando force into southern Lebanon and was subsequently attacked by Hezbollah near the village of Aitaa al-Chaab, well inside Lebanon’s southern territory. It was at this point that an Israel tank was struck by Hezbollah fighters, which resulted in the capture of two Israeli soldiers and the death of six.
As the
AFP reported, “According to the Lebanese police force, the two Israeli soldiers were captured in Lebanese territory, in the area of Aitaa al-Chaab, near to the border with Israel, where an Israeli unit had penetrated in middle of morning.” And the French news site VoltaireNet.org reiterated the same account on June 18, “In a deliberated way, [Israel] sent a commando in the Lebanese back-country to Aitaa al-Chaab. It was attacked by Hezbollah, taking two prisoners.”
The
Associated Press departed from the official version as well. “The militant group Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers during clashes Wednesday across the border in southern Lebanon, prompting a swift reaction from Israel, which sent ground forces into its neighbor to look for them,” reported Joseph Panossian for AP on July 12. “The forces were trying to keep the soldiers’ captors from moving them deeper into Lebanon, Israeli government officials said on condition of anonymity.”
And the
Hindustan Times on July 12 conveyed a similar account:
“The Lebanese Shi’ite Hezbollah movement announced on Wednesday that its guerrillas have captured two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon. ‘Implementing our promise to free Arab prisoners in Israeli jails, our strugglers have captured two Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon,’ a statement by Hezbollah said. ‘The two soldiers have already been moved to a safe place,’ it added. The Lebanese police said that the two soldiers were captured as they ‘infiltrated’ into the town of Aitaa al-Chaab inside the Lebanese border.”
Whether factual or not, these alternative accounts should at the very least raise serious questions as to Israel’s motives and rationale for bombarding Lebanon.
MSNBC online first reported that Hezbollah had captured Israeli soldiers “inside” Lebanon, only to change their story hours later after the Israeli government gave an official statement to the contrary.
A
report from The National Council of Arab Americans, based in Lebanon, also raised suspicion that Israel’s official story did not hold water and noted that Israel had yet to recover the tank that was demolished during the initial attack in question.
“The Israelis so far have not been able to enter Aitaa al-Chaab to recover the tank that was exploded by Hezbollah and the bodies of the soldiers that were killed in the original operation (this is a main indication that the operation did take place on Lebanese soil, not that in my opinion it would ever be an illegitimate operation, but still the media has been saying that it was inside ‘Israel’ thus an aggression first started by Hezbollah).”
Before independent observers could organize an investigation of the incident, Israel had already mounted a grisly offensive against Lebanese infrastructure and civilians, bombing Beirut’s international airport, along with numerous highways and communication portals. Israel didn’t need the truth of the matter to play out before it invaded Lebanon. As with the United States’ illegitimate invasion of Iraq, Israel just needed the proper media cover to wage a war with no genuine moral impetus.
